Contestant #2 – What would you say to teens who believe that you can only measure success by material possessions?
Now check the prizes!
It is high time that we start giving prizes (especially for teen pagaents) that can further enhance the education of our young people considering the current climate of where the BVI is in academics compared to other islands in the region.
Just my two cents!
Do you know what a KINDLE is or cant you read? ANd guess what. They give what they can afford and the girls should be grateful. The experience on stage should enhance their academic performance. Maybe ‘Just Saying’ you should sponsor three scholarships for the girls. Just a thought
Obviously you are a dam idiot and cannot read either comprehend. Small island folks I tell you!
why are you so negative. This is only a little incentive to get the girls feeling good about running. I dont see why VG has to cancel their festivities. All the other little island has their fet why not VG. Encourage and stop discouraging. I am glad that they are getting some nice little gifts. Longer ago when contestants ran they did not even get a darn thing now, they are all over and enjoying the win keep up the good work VG dont let this discourage you all young ladies go for the gold.
For clarity and as a member of The Pageant Committee for Virgin Gorda Festival Committee. Ms Teen will receive a 3000.00 cash prize, and all other contestants will receive $1000.00. This cash prize is collected only after participation in Easter Monday Parade. Other prizes also included Winner All expenses paid trip to Puerto Rico and the other contestants received all expenses paid trips to St. Thomas. These trips include accommodations at an upscale resort as well as transportation to /from the destination and a cash allowance. Other prizes include jewelry, handbags, shoes and yes electronic devices geared to enhancing their overall life education. We try very hard to balance what the contestants get and we are aware of the economic situation of our country so we try to be responsible as well. The experience that the girls are afforded by their participation is immense. It allows them to expand their horizons. These are the things that we really need to look at.
Bubbles you are one of the ones that run around saying there is nothing to do. Seems like you are a boring person.
bubbles shut your big mouth you dont know vg and our ting so shut your blasted mouth
(Proud)
Go J`sonnia!!!!! Go!! Make us pround and represent
i think that the ppl of vg should just give easter this year a ease. the place is not ready there is more important tings to think about for the island.
we should invest in other things than just fet, fet, fet.
I hope you say the same thing when Tola Music fest/ August Carnival come around too!!!
So why do we need to give it a rest though? Since when we’ve been all about Fet, Fet, Fet? We are the place people usually associate with ‘BORING’. This is only large scale event that we have. You give your fingers a break, that’s my opinion. I guess you are entitled to yours.
WELL BUBBLES GIVE US SOME EXAMPLES
I know you dont live on VG. You dont have to come. We will still have a good time without you amongst ourselves. Thats how we do it on VG
