The BVI Hoop It Up Foundation will be conducting their 5th annual summer basketball camp from July 9th – July 20th at the Multipurpose complex. The camp is open to boys and girls from ages 5 and up to grasp the fundamental skills of basketball in the summer.
The foundation is really excited to see the faces of the children that have been consistency attending their camps and they are also excited to meet the new faces that will be attending to learn the skills of basketball. There will be American coaches along with the Hoop It Up ballers from college to help conduct the basketball camp, and several skills and fun will be on high display.
President Steve Parillon talks about the camp; ” we are very excited about this summer camp, with the signing of our recent players to go abroad, several children are extra motivated to work on their skills to some day have that moment, parents I’m urging you to show more interest registering your children into these camps, we want to meet you see you face to face and start a relationship with you and your children, we offer 3 hoop camps per year in Easter Hoops, Summer Hoops, and Christmas Hoops, we also have two after school programs in Future Star and Books and Basketball so children can have 12 months of basketball training. We have to start creating high level basketball players from young, that’s why our camps start from age 5, in doing this we can build a relationship with players that will progress year by year”.
Registration for the camp will be June 22nd and final registration will be June 29th from 10am – 12pm at the Cutting Edge Gym in prospect park opposite the dolphin discovery, you can also register at the gym daily from 5pm -7pm. Registration fee is $60 which include a camp tee, we hope you give you children this opportunity of learning the fundamental skills of basketball while having fun.
