It has to be said TOK, the Grammy award winning Jamaican group, was the highlight of Friday evening’s International Reggae Night held at Corrine Brewley’s Festville.
Described by the New York Times as the ‘world’s greatest dance-hall boy band’ – the quartet gave the large crowd a taste of quality and high energy performance.
Upon their arrival on stage the group belted out hits after hits that including ‘Gal Yuh A Lead’, ‘Galang Gal’, ‘Top A Tappa’, ‘Money 2 Burn’, ‘She’s Hot’ and ‘Footprints’.
Of course four young ladies were asked to compete in a dance off to the song ‘Shake Your Bam Bam’ with the crowd as the judge. So it came as no surprise a Jamaican won, teasing the crowd wearing a provocative and short outfit.
While performing Footprints the group paid tribute to ONeil Edwards a member of Voicemail who died in May this year.
It was also revealed that the group is working on a new album ‘Forever’, and the crowd got a sample of what to expect. They also paid tribute to the Haiti victims in a song.
Before leaving the stage the group wound down their performance with the soulful ‘Guardian Angel’.
Known as the ‘Cool Ruler’, Gregory Isaacs took the audience down memory lane with ‘Night Nurse’, ‘Oh What A Feeling’, ‘Love Me With Feeling’ and ‘Top Ten’, among others.
The old, the young and in between were observed singing along with the Jamaican superstar and doing the ‘scant’. One young lady and her friends were heard saying, “This was a good evening.”
Prior to TOK and Isaacs performances, Collin ‘Demarco’ Edwards took the stage and impressed the crowd with ‘Fallen Soldiers’, ‘Work Hard’ and ‘Prayer’.
Local Reggae group Heritage started off the evening’s entertainment and road march champion ‘Showtime’ band wrapped up the evening with their usual top notch performance.
This evening dubbed International Night will see performances from Jamaican artistes Ce’cile, Ding Dong and Oscar B former lead singer of Bryan Lee and the Dragonnaires. Chutney King. Adesh Samaroo known for his song ‘Rum Till I Die’ will also take the stage.

Ok. Someone should have called the fashion police for tht woman in the floral outfit, the one tht was on the stage…….she need s to be charged LMAO
