“He that rejecteth Me and receiveth not My words, hath One that judgeth him; the Word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the Last Day. John 12:48
No matter who you are or where you are, one thing is true, God has been good to you. You may choose to ignore the goodness of God in your life or you may chose to acknowledge His goodness and live a life of thanksgiving.
Many today are living lives of ingratitude towards God. As they look back over their lives they can see the many times when they were in situations or faced with grave circumstances and then things miraculously worked out because of the divine intervention of God. There are many people who in times of crisis have prayed and told God that if He would get them out of the situation or heal their sickness that they would serve Him the rest of their lives. God in turn stepped in and gave them a divine miracle in their situation and or healed their bodies and they go their merry way, and live like the devil forgetting all about God, denying God or even worshiping other gods.
Some sad to say, treat God the same way that they treat people who have been good to them. They only know Him when they need Him. If they don’t need Him, He never hears from them. God for some people is the person they consult in prayer if anything else and everyone else cannot help them.
These are serious times and even more serious days are ahead. If ever a time that we need God it is now. If there was ever a time that we need to have a relationship with God, through Jesus Christ it is now. “But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 10:33
No matter what you have done or where you are God loves you and He wants to have a relationship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ. You may have turned to men, women, sex, drugs, alcohol, money and other things in an effort to be accepted, be happy or fill the void that exists in your life. Friends may have turned out to be your worst enemies, people you trusted may have betrayed you. Family may have turned their backs on your and you may have experienced pain, abuse and sorrows on all levels. Today, Jesus Christ is standing with open arms waiting to receive you. He is saying to you “Come.”. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
You cannot sleep, you have no peace and it seems like nothing is working out for you because you are trying to do everything on your own and in your own strength without the counsel or help of the Lord. Many have a relationship with religion, with their church, pastors, ministers, with their society and with people but no relationship with God. “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.” Matthew 15:8 They know about God but they do not know GOD!
We encourage you today to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and allow Him to perfect all that concerns you. If you have been living a double life and pretending to be a Christian but doing all that goes against the Word of God, today is the day to repent and get things right with God. The next moment, minute, hour, day, month or year is not promised to any of us. Our only safety and assurance is in Jesus Christ. “…behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2 Reach out to God today through Jesus Christ and let him give you peace, joy, hope and eternal life. Have a blessed weekend.
