“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”  Proverbs 16:25

God is calling each and everyone of us to get in right standing with Him.  He is calling us to walk in righteousness and holiness.  The days of playing and pretending in the body of Christ is over.  This is a clarion call to walk in the spirit and to depart from iniquity.  The world has to be able to see a difference in those of us who name the name of Christ.  “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” 2 Timothy 2:19

Time is short and shorter for many than they think.  For someone reading this devotional, this is your last warning.  God has been speaking to you in all forms and you have been ignoring His voice and His messengers.  It is not worth it to lose your soul.  God cares so much about you and He loves you.  It does not matter what you have done in your past, what matters is your present and your future.  Call upon the Lord and allow him to deliver you and to make you whole.  Jesus Christ died for you and He wants you to have eternal life.

Saints, this is not the hour to be playing church and pretending to walk with God while holding hands with the devil.  These are serious times and as much as many think they are fooling man they are only fooling themselves for God knows all and God reveals His secrets to those who walk with Him.  We cannot be bringing heaven down in church, on the television and radio and in our homes, jobs and in other social settings acting and talking like the devil.  It is time to make a choice.  Your soul is at stake and this could be your final warning for the judgment of God is about to strike in the body of Christ.  “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”  1 Peter 4:17

The month of August is a very serious month.  The judgment of God will hit the church and the world.  If you are a spiritual warrior, this statement will not surprise you because we hear from the same God.  Governments will be shaken, there will be major exposure in the body of Christ and in high ranking leadership, shocking deaths and destruction in all forms.  We need to continue to pray against destruction and death in our region by hurricane in the months of August and September.  There is much activity going on in the realm of the spirit.  Mock if you like, but “It is time to get right with God!”

To those of us in the Virgin Islands, take heed, watch and pray; most important let us all examine our hearts in the light of not religion and the opinions of man but of the Word of God.  Wickedness is abounding in our land in very high places and God is not pleased.  The days of Sodom and Gomorrah are not just coming but they are here.  The spirit of greed and the love of money is driving many to be agents of wickedness, not caring who they hurt or they have to stamp on to get what they want.  But God is not sleeping, he is seeing all and what we the inhabitants of this land sows we are sure to reap.

Too many are deceived in thinking that they can do whatever they want to others and treat others however they want and it is all ok as long as they go to church and preach, or sing on the choir, or a member of a social clubs or hold prominent positions in society, or go to church every Saturday or Sunday.  In this hour, God is looking at our hearts.  It is very sad when sinners are turned away from God because of the actions and deeds of some Christians.  Yes, there will be criticism but when it is true, it is very sad.  “But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.”  1 Peter 4:15

Just late last month, one of my cousins who lived in Orlando was killed when his car crashed into a wall.  He was not even 30 years old.  As a family our hearts were grieved but when I read in his funeral booklet that some months ago he attended church with him mother and when the pastor preached he said to his mother that the message was for him, that the pastor was talking to him and that he had to change his life as he could not continue living the way he was living.  He was convicted in his heart and he chose to follow Jesus Christ.  His mother accompanied him to the altar and he gave his life to Jesus Christ.  That was significant for him because now, just months after he meets a tragic death.  But once he remained in Christ the death is just physical for he shall rise again.

In life, we never know.  The next moment is not promised to any of us.  What is the condition of your heart?  Today, we encourage you to let Jesus Christ be your Saviour and Lord.  If you are pretending to be a Christian and you are not one in thought, word and deed you will lose your soul in hell.  Are you being led by the Holy Spirit or are you allowing your flesh to rule you?  If you are in a backslidden, lukewarm or cold condition, repent today, confess your sins and make things right with God.  Do not allow the devil to deceive you.  If you are doing all sorts of evil against others, heaven cannot be your final destination.  “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”  Revelation 21:8  We encourage you today to “Get right with God!”

I honestly believe this is a word from God for such a time as this, to us people of the Virgin Islands. Let us be obediant to the word and get our lives right with the Lord.
