ALIVE WORD: Leave evil doers to God!

“Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works.” 2 Timothy 4:14

Someone needs to be reminded today not to take matters into their own hands concerning situations that they are dealing with at this time.

You have been hurt, you are upset, frustrated, angry because of the injustice and cruelty that was done to you. Someone who you trusted and thought to be a friend turned out to be your worst enemy. The person is now lying on you, scandalizing your name and have caused much confusion and strife in your life.

You feel betrayed, violated, and at times you have wept wondering what you ever did to the person or persons involved for them to treat you this way. You were there for them in their times of trouble. You gave to them in their time of need. You prayed for them and believed God for their breakthroughs. You fed them when they were hungry.

You comforted them in their times of sorrow. Now they have turned on you with false accusations, joining with others and trying to assassinate your character. Your spirit is troubled because they are robbing you of your peace…

Beloved, no matter what they have done or what they have said, do not take matters into your own hands but take it to the Lord in prayer. Do not allow their words and actions to bring you down to the low level where they are at.

Know that if you put them and the situations into the hands of God, He is sure to repay them and reward them for the evil they have done to you. Yes, at times the temptation may come to just retaliate and take revenge but that is not the way of the Lord.

The word of God tells us in Romans 12:19 “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”

God knows best how to repay the evil doers who are coming against you, your family, your finances, your business, your ministry, your marriage, your job etc. Take them to the Lord in prayer and leave them there.

When I say take them to God in prayer I do not in any way mean to ask God to kill them or to pray evil things against them; that is not in any way the righteous thing to do. God already knows about the situation; talk to Him about it and ask Him to work it all out.

It may seem like what is being done against you has been happening too long. It may seem as if the more you pray the more evil they do but know this today, God is a God who is up high and He looks low. He never misses anything. In His way and in His time He is sure to reward all evil doers and deliver you.

The Apostle Paul was in many situations where he was falsely accused, abused, and beaten. He endured and suffered much for the sake of Jesus Christ.

But Paul knew that God was true to His word as stated in Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” That is why when Alexander the coppersmith did Paul much evil, Paul was able to say “the Lord reward him according to his works”.

In the midst of all the persecution, backbiting, slander, sabotage, betrayal, lies, and attempts to set you back or pull you down, stand in the strength of the Lord.

Trust God who is your defense, your Rock and your Strong Tower – your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble – your Divine deliverer to take care of all the Judasas, Hamans, Jezebels, Ahithophels, Absalom and all the workers of iniquity.

Be encouraged today with the words of Galatians 5:10 “I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.” “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.” Psalm 37:1,2

One thing for sure, pay day is coming to ALL evil doers if they do not repent and turn from their wicked ways! When pay day comes to many, they then say that people are working witchcraft and evil against them; when in fact all that is happening is they are reaping the reward of the evil they have sown and sometimes it is multiplied.

Leave evil doers to God!

I notice that even on social media twitter, facebook etc a controversial post leaning more on the perverted side would receive more likes than a most about spiritually or godliness.

This is due to the fact that society at large is becoming more and more cognizant of the fact that we must be complicit in our own salvation. It is generations of falling to your knees and looking at the sky for answers to our problems that has retarded the evolution of the human condition. If every generation hence forth accepts the onus to better themselves and those around them, i suspect that the things we deem so far from reach that we must wait on the magical being in the sky to fix them, would slowly become within us to deal with ourselves…perhaps not today or tomorrow but someday…but if we continue to teach our children that it is ok to be inept because God will sort us all out when we die, then what hope do we have of ever seeing a generation of people do better?

    To the Richardsons:

Just wanted to applaud you both for continuously writing your column despite I have noticed there are typically not many responses as some other articles.

I admit, I too have over looked your columns in the past. I don’t have a specific reason. But perhaps it has to do with my gravitating towards the more controversal or eye catching headlines first as others may do.

And that perhaps has something to do with my social conditioning in todays’ world whereby we go first to the controversal & sensational stories. The nature of media today is to grab our attention with shocking headlines.

Unfortunately, talking about God does not have the shock value of modern media, and cannot compete in shock value unless of course religious opinions are intertwined with topics such as abortion, homosexuality, gay marriage, etc for which there are diverse opinions. Additionally, you may be preaching to the choir of which I am a part.

Nevertheless, your column titled today: “Leave evil doers to God!” caught my eyes as it’s a principle I practice in my personal life. It’s good to read validation for that thinking.

Keep writing the good word, and God Bless you both.

I see the devil is busy. Why would anyone take offense to this simple thank you leaves me perplexed. Really…people, what is objectionable in the Richardsons response? I don’t get it.

I would like to think that you accidentally hit the wrong button because you were not wearing your glasses. You are forgiven. People make honest mistakes all the time. It happens to the best of us

Please don’t underestimate the amount of people that are antichrist living here. Let’s continue to pray for this increasing group of people.
