So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.” Ezekiel 33:7-8
I had a dream a few nights ago that was so real and vivid that it has stayed with me. I was glad when I awoke to find that it was a dream.
In the dream there was a storm and I saw muddy water gushing through homes, schools and churches in Tortola.
People were busy trying to save their furniture and personal items but their efforts were useless as the water was just taking everything in its path including the roads. People were crying and distressed. Some seemed overwhelmed with sorrow.
People of Tortola, it is time for us to really repent, fast and pray. I do not know what is up in the spirit realm but something is not right and we really need to take heed, repent and pray.
Today, we salute the watchmen on the wall. Those who are living holy and standing in the gap in serious warfare prayer, fasting and intercession for this land. Those who cry aloud and spare not and do not allow religious spirits to bridle them or put them in bondage. Those who do and say what God commands despite the mocking, the persecution and all manner of evil done and spoken against them. Fellow laborers in the Kingdom, STAND! For we are not standing alone, God is with us.
Our Department of Disaster Management does an excellent job in my opinion every year do all they can to prepare us for the hurricane season but it is not just about preparation for the body and possession, we must make adequate preparation for our souls.
I thank God for being free both from slavery and the bondage of sin but the way that some celebrate freedom do not glorify God and I make no excuse for not being a part of it.
People of Tortola, God is calling us to repentance. August festivities will come to an end but at the end of it all the question still remains “Where will you spend eternity?” “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mark 8:36 What does it profit you to push bush and lose your soul?
God is ever merciful and ever faithful. In the midst of so many things that have happened in our territory we can still look around individually and collectively and say that God has truly been good to us. How do you display our thanks and gratitude towards God? God is not just a God to call on in the times of storms and in the times of troubles and challenges but what about before the storms and after the storms? It is time to seek the Lord. It is time to call on Him. Today is the day to make it right with God. It does not have to be a hurricane, a tropical strom or an earthquake. The storms of life hit in so many different ways but facing life without the strength of God and the help of God is sometimes fatal. We do not know about next minute, hour or day. God is calling all of us to holiness and righteousness, to be in right standing with Him.
Perilous times are ahead. Many who had big plans for festival did not even live to see the festival. Our only hope, our only refuge is in Jesus Christ. He is our rock and our shelter. When we have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ we are assured that there is no need to fear for in the midst of whatever comes our way God is with us, but outside of God’s covering and shelter, you never know.
Noah preached for a very long time and many mocked him and did not take heed. The same thing is happening when many of us share the Word of God or what the Holy Spirit reveals to us.
In light of the upcoming elections there is a lot of deception, witchcraft, corruption and wickedness going on. It is amazing the lengths that some would go to in order to obtain power, position, and money. “Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.” Psalm 7:9 God does not sleep and the injustice will not prevail as long as there are watchmen on the wall. Corruption cannot be corrected with corruption and injustice plus injustice cannot equal justice. Tortola, sooner or later we will reap what we have sown and have been sowing.
People of Tortola this is not the time for mocking. It is time to seek the Lord like never before. It is time to repent, to pray and prepare, not just for physical things but for your soul. God is ever merciful and He sends warning before judgment.
People of Tortola, let us TAKE HEED!
Hear the Word of the Lord. Ezekiel 33:1-6
1Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
3If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
4Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
6But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
