JESUS CHRIST IS LORD and there is no power greater than the POWER OF GOD. We established in part 1 of this devotional series that according to the Word of God, any form of the occult, Witchcraft, Wizards, Sorcery, Spiritualism, Paganism, Astrology and Psychics are NOT of God.
The Bible states that witchcraft is all inherently wrong because it is an appeal to a forbidden source of power.
2 Chron. 33:6 “And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought MUCH evil in the sight of the LORD, to PROVOKE him to ANGER.”
2 Kings 9:22 “And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?”
1 Sam. 15:23 “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.”
Specific powers of witchcraft and sorcery are named and condemned.
Exodus 7:11,22; 8:7 – When Moses and Aaron brought plagues on Egypt, Pharaoh’s magicians attempted to duplicate the miracles by their “enchantments.” “Enchantments” refers to the ceremonies and rituals used by sorcerers and magicians to accomplish their ends – incantations, spells, and magic words, wearing of charms (amulets).
Deuteronomy 18:10 mentions various of these “enchantments” as part of that which is forbidden. “There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.”
Isaiah 8:19,20 – And when they say to you, “Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,” should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
“Whisper and mutter” refers to the incantations and spells of magicians. These words are supposed to give the user control over the spirit beings that accomplish the desired result. If you know the words, you control the spirit to do your bidding.
Galatians 5:20,21 – 20 “Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” Those who will not inherit the kingdom of God include those who practice “sorcery” (“witchcraft” – KJV). This includes the occult in general, but refers especially to the use of potions brewed by witches in their cauldrons, etc.
God condemns, not just the whole practice of the occult, but also the specific methods, rituals, and mumbo-jumbo words used.
Lev. 19:26b “… neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.”
Isa. 47:9 “But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.”
Rev. 9:21 “Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”
In St. John 10:10 it states “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” The thief referred to in this verse is the devil. The occult is of the devil. So think seriously about it, if you need help why go to the devil to help you fight the devil. The devil helps no one. He is only on a mission to KILL, STEAL and destroy. Do not fall prey to his traps by practicing or involving yourself or others in the occult. Jesus Christ is the one who came to give us life. If you need help turn to Jesus Christ.
Many into the occult will tell you that nothing is wrong with things like witchcraft because they use the Bible. “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” 2 Corinthians 11:13-15
Besides all of that, salvation, deliverance, healing, divine protection, divine provision are all FREE because of the price that Jesus Christ paid for us.
People are wasting a lot of money paying these witches and psychics for works of darkness; forgetting that whatever we sow; we will reap. Then they wonder why evil befalls them and/or their family. If you sow seeds of darkness expect a harvest of darkness.
The occult is darkness and Jesus Christ is light. Light and darkness cannot agree. The devil is a liar. He will entice, deceive, but when he turns back for his payment look out!”Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44 Do not trust the devil, trust God.
Christians, people will always hate us. Some hate us for a reason, some hate us and don’t even know why they hate us but God says this in St. Matthew 5:44 “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.” Jesus said in John 15:18 “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.” But no need for us to turn to the devil for help. Our God is a great and mighty God who is more than able to divinely protect and deliver us. We can look to Him and trust Him in every situation that we face. He is the way, the truth and the life. Romans 12:19 states “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”
Christians, remember who we are in Jesus Christ and be not deceived by the workers of darkness.
Matthew 5:13 “Ye are the salt of the earth.” – We do not need to throw salt around for protection.
Matthew 5:14 “Ye are the light of the world. –We should never ever burn candles black or white in an effort to bring harm to others.
John 8:12 “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
LET US WALK IN THE LIGHT – JESUS CHRIST.
The Occult is not of God. Witchcraft and Vodoo in any form are not of God.

Do you got a own unicque opinion or do you always hide your self behind the bible?
sad and pathetic.
I pray strength on the authors of this article. It is timely and needed in an era where too many people in the churches neglect to “renew thier minds”. We in the kingdom need to “know” why we believe the things that we believe.
