Photos of an alleged prowler taken from a security camera have been circulating via the internet since Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012.
According to reports, the prowler was seen at a home in the Nanny Cay area at about 3 am, jumping fences.
The owners of the security camera, which captured the alleged prowler, said in an email: “Unfortunately we do not have an active neighborhood watch system in place which means we are left with few options to inform people of potential problems. Please find attached a picture of the visitor we had at 3 am this morning. Obviously this well dressed gentleman was not making a social call at this time of the night as he was prepared to jump a fence to gain access to the property and ignore the barking dogs to pay us a visit. Fortunately he did not break in (not yet anyway) and he failed to avoid the cameras. If you recognise this person please notify the Road Town Police Station.”
An email from a concerned member of the public commented on the seriousness of the discovery and is also calling on the public to help identify the “suspect”. The email was sent to BVI News.
The email reads: “In the past I have sent around emails with persons looking for apartments and/or tenants and am grateful as to the feedback that has been received. The below matter is much more serious, but I feel it can be combated in the same manner. Please ensure that the below gets as wide of a distribution as possible to see if we can stop this ring of unlawful acts. Hopefully someone is able to identify this suspect and hopefully with some continued perseverance, we are able to slow and eventually stop such crimes from occurring. In the meantime, ensure that all windows are fully secured and doors are locked.”
The information has since been communicated to the police but no arrests have been made.

DUDE that look like Omar Head!!!

looks like he 4 true
this is a serious case for some to be joking about it. Is good some one caught him on camara who knows what this man is capable of
MayBe he was the one who came to my house and stole all my electronic and the cam too.
Maybe he was lost. Or just trying to find a short cut. Somehow I just don’t think this is a person trying to break into houses. Otherwise, he would have run or hidden himself when the dogs started barking.
It would be interesting to see how this turns out.
Lost at 3am in the morning, unless he is a tourist or maybe drunk, then I don’t think he is lost, the pic doesn’t show or tell what his reaction was when he heard the barking, but i agree quite interesting to see how it plays out, he sure is dress for business though, what kind I don’t know
By chance do you know how to enhance so that we can get a clearer view or are any other pictures. Prowler will return lets try for a front view.
From here,it simply looks like a drunk older man. Probably doesnt even know where he is. Probaby why he totally ignored the barking dogs. I might be wrong, but to me he just looks drunk. Most drunk men just wonder about, not having a clue where they’re at.
This guy looks reall familiar.
Tha man thieving wife…lool
LOL. ikr.
LMAO!! That one make my day because it’s the same thing I’m saying! The only thing he rob is some crutch, now he trying to make his getaway! LOL!!
This should be done more often! Hopefully someone knows this guy and reports it. If this is done more around the Territory, the idiots would probably stop their nonsense!
Your an Idiot. Thats all i would say.
meen goin to lie i buss 1 hard laugh when i read dis but u know u wrong lol lol lol
Cameras a great idea and many people have them – stop breaking into people’s homes!
I don’t know what to make of this story. A well dressed man caught on camera jumping fences about 3 AM. Were these fences unique to one property or others? For all we know, he could have been coming from some hot one night stand and making a short cut to his car parked somewhere.
Seems to me a little more context is needed here such as the geography of the neighborhood, and the surrounding homes before we can draw any definitive conclusions. But given the ongoing spate of burglaries, anything is possible.
I guess the answers lies in first identifying him, followed by questioning by the police. Identifying him should be easy enough. So if anyone sees a bald, small & irregular shaped ear, acne scared, light skinned appearing young man, please call the po po so these home owners could get to the bottom of this, and get a peace of mind.
not our place to draw conclusions. but trespassing is a crime here, so one night stand or not, still a crime to be in someone’s yard uninvited at night. I am locking my doors!
Sure, trespassing is a crime, and as I said anything is possible. I am simply suggesting that given the information in article, I cannot determine if this person has criminal intent. And I think if this is all the information the police is presented with, they will have a similar take. The bottom line is the guy need to be found and questioned.
Meanwhile, given what is occurring with these ongoing burglaries, you are right to lock your doors. Anyone who does not is simply inviting trouble.
Just wanted to add. If you are familiar with my posts and thinking, I am not one to condone crime/criminals. If this guy is found, questioned, and found to have committed a crime, without hesitiation I will like to see him charged.
But by the same token, I don’t wish to see someone accused falsely of something. Again, based on the information in the article, it’s impossible for me and I would suggest anyone to say this guy has criminal intent. He may of had criminal intent, but as far as the article goes, it’s difficult to tell. So, again, keep your doors locked. We all should given what is going on.
why every one thinks that to do the wrong u have to b dress like a bagabund? the mayority of bad people are dress that normal that when caught every one is surprised. Just look at the arrests blotter for last year who were caught wasnot some of the elite? in distinguish positions? GREED and the ones that are head of it u may call them Honorable!
“Well dressed gentleman” “jumping fenses” “ignoring barking dogs” and in a strange neighbourhood at 3 a.m.” This gives me goose bumps. Thank you for the information. Good looking out.
