BDO 2012 Schools Football League kicks off with fun and goals

MAY 8—Goals galore, tons of fun and rain highlighted the kick off of the BDO 2012 Schools Football League last week, which has attracted 600 players from public and private primary and high schools in the territory.

Action kicked off with the Under 7s, where Enid Scatliffe Pre-Primary Blue beat Enid Scatliffe Pre Primary Red, 2-0. Sherwood Charles (5) and Deandre Rogers (15) were the scorers.

Azani Callwood scored twice (8,15) in another Under 7 matchup, in leading First Impression past Cedar One, 2-0.

Hat tricks by Noah Leese and Luka Chalwell helped Cedar to a 9-0 triumph over St. Georges in the Under 9 division. Zach Jackson added 2 goals to the tally and Lanton Green added another.

Jalen Prentice scored twice as First Impression shut down Seventh Day Adventist 4-0, in their Under 9 contest. Jake Forbes also scored and Seventh Day contributed an own goal.

Seventh Day Adventist Under 7 squad used Tyrel Peters two goals to overhaul Enis Adams, 2-0.

Cedar 2 used goals from Kael Caulwell and Tak Wood for their 2-0 victory over Enis Adams Gray.

Lucha Reich had five goals as Cedar Blue rolled over Althea Scatliffe, 10-0 in their Under 9 matchup. Dominic Munro added a hat trick to the tally, with other goals coming form Connor Macullum and Authur Dieksent.

Lenora Denville used goals by Kalique Callwood (8)  and Shantavia Richards (19) to get past Enid Scatliffe Red, 2-0, in their U7 contest.

Another U7 matchup saw Enid Scatliffe Blue securing a 2-0 win over Leanora Denville, on goals by Omari Simmonds (2) and Deandra Rogers (14).

First Impressions routed St Georges, 11-0 in their U9 game, as Jamal Prentis found nets five times and Jake Forbes had a hat trick. Prentis goals barrage begin in the 10th minute with others coming in the 21st, 24th, 25th and 26th. Forbes had his scored in the 12th,17th and 28th. Other goals came from Sekai Questelles (23). Noah Pierce, (29) and Jalen Prentis (29).

Althea Scatliffe forfeited their match to Cedar Blue.

In the U18 High School division, Jamie Mc Koy had scores in the 25th and 50th to help the Elmore Stoutt High School overpower Bregado Flax, 4-1. Troy Caesar opened the scoring 10 minutes in and Onyeka Akorjun padded the score in the 38th.

    A job well done to all the kids in this school league. A special congrats to my son Azarni Callwood for his two goals and helping to carry his team to 1-0. Good luck to all the teams
