Police are officially investigating a fire at One Mart Superstore in Purcell Estate last night that damaged flammable items.

Sources told BVI News that a boy, around the age of 12, was seen in the area before the fire was observed.

According to information obtained by BVI News, the security guard on duty heard popping sounds like fire burning inside the store at about 9:30 p.m. and discovered fire on one of the shelves. He immediately put out the blaze with a fire extinguisher.

Among the items partially burnt were detergent, matches, lighters, candles and charcoal.

Witnesses and supermarket staff were interviewed.

Cause of fire is not officially known, but according to police sources, arson is suspected.

    Boy this sounds like vip tricks again. Remember when Minister Fraser was trying to convince us and the experts that the stop lights were needed at the roundabout?
