LOS ANGELES (AP) — Whitney Houston, who reigned as pop music’s queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, erratic behavior and a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown, has died. She was 48.
Publicist Kristen Foster said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the location of her death were unknown.
At her peak, Houston was the golden girl of the music industry. From the middle 1980s to the late 1990s, she was one of the world’s best-selling artists. She wowed audiences with effortless, powerful, and peerless vocals that were rooted in the black church but made palatable to the masses with a pop sheen.

If Whitney was still alive they would have never given their concern or regrets. Why send her roses when she cannot hear them. But not everything someone feel means it is the right thing. Madonna was just onstage with her performance to Baphomet at the superbowl. Nicki Manaj was just on the grammy offering herself up as a sacrifice to Baphomet. The real sacrifices were done in one month. Don Cornelius(02/01/2012)and now Withney Houston (02/11/2012). The woman was to go by Clive to have a dinner before the grammy’s. She was also fine on the Friday during the sound check. Only these idol worshippers cannot see the truth. Look at the date she died and you will get truth. I see people will be easily deceived because they do what they feel but not what is right. The world is in trouble financially and the Tax collector(Uncle Sam the devil) is collecting. Money, cars, house, jewelry are not sacrifices. A sacrifice has to be done with something that has life. Sad thing is, People sacrifice their entire life to dead things. That is why many are hear praising the woman while she is dead. Let the dead bury and cry for the dead!

To young people why was Whitney one of the greatest you may ask? She was because before synthesizers, the right people and autotunes, to be called an artist you had to have this thing called “raw talent”. No computer enhanced voice recording, but a voice to begin with. She could sing a song for a record and sing the song live in concert and sound the same. She did not have to lipsing live because autotune is not available for live performances. When performing live Whitney never had to point the mic to the crowd to sing less just to cover up the fact that they sound different in person because of synthesizer sounds and autotune. These were the days of love ballads and romance. Not some chorus with an R&B artist and then a rapper coming in midway through the song a “ragaragara I love she and she love me thats why we flocening in NYC”…smh none of that BS. Just pure soulful melodies…….But most of all “The Voice” as whitney became known had range. The only artists vocally that even came close to her voice were Celine, Toni, Mariah, Chaka(back in the day) and of recent times Jennifer Hudson, and even so Whitney still had that distinctive killer voice that just made her stand out……

This is so sad,now playing her greatest hits.She was a legend she will never be forgotten her music will lived on.She has been through so much,she inspired so many people lady with the biggest voice.My condolence goes out to her families.I am sure you are in a better place RIP.
This is sad indeed,will be greatly missed but at the same time just wondering why these past artiste falling so young.May her soul rest in peace.
This is soooo sad.. I just was listening to one of her songs and All for One the other day and was thinking wow, what ever happened to slow love songs… Music is almost dead now, anyway….

Another sacrifice made right before a major event.(the grammy and the downgrading of 34-37 italian banks). Watch out at the economy(stock market) and war. Fame does not come for free. Michael Jackson and now Withney Houston. Watch and see she will be worth more dead than when she was alive.
