The BVICF is hosting the BVICF Highway Challenge on Sunday 24th June 2012.
The race will start at the West End Police Station with riders heading eastwardly to the Airport turning around there and heading back to the West End Police for the finish.
Race route and details are as follows:
All riders will start at the West End Police Station head west turning at the Frenchman’s Cay junction and then head East on the main road to the Airport. At the Airport riders will turn into the airport road and continue to the junction at Trellis Bay where they will turn right on the main road and head back to West End. At West End riders will pass the Police station and continue to the Frenchman’s Cay junction, turn around and head back East on the main road and turn by Prospect Reef Roundabout, then head back to West End to finish at the Police Station for at total of 51.4 miles.
Ladies & Under 17 Riders
Ladies and Under 17 riders will complete the same course except they will finish when they arrive to West End Police Station from the airport for a total of 36.4 miles.
Novices & Under 15 Riders
Novices & under 15 riders will start and finish at the same area however they will turn at the Prospect Reef roundabout and head back to West End to finish at the Police Station for a total of 15 miles.
There will be (2) two water stops for this event. One water stop will be, at the top of the hill, on the airport road and the other will be at Frenchman’s Cay Junction. The BVICF is also seeking volunteers for the water stops and to assist in any way possible.
The race will start promptly at 7am with registration at 6:30am. Membership of the BVICF will also be available. Members of the BVICF will pay $10.00 for registration, while non-members will be $20.00 and All Juniors are FREE. Helmets are MANIDTORY for all participants of this event.
