The British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) will be launching its new website www.bvielectricity.com, as a means of modernising their services and improving customer service.
General Manager of BVIEC, Mr. Leroy A.E. Abraham is proud to announce that, “The new website will allow customers to pay their electricity bills online which saves time and provides the flexibility to pay bills at the customer’s convenience”.
“In addition to this feature of payment online which is a significant step in our modernising efforts as we attempt to provide first class customer service, we have also included current information on service interruptions, disconnections, energy saving tips, safety tips, and educational resources.”
As stated on the website, “The main goal and objective of the BVIEC is to provide the best possible service to its customers and to aid in the development of the Territory’s electrical infrastructure by adequately supplying a reliable and continuous electrical supply to the entire British Virgin Islands population at an affordable cost”.
The new website will be launched during a press conference on Monday, October 10, 2011 at the BVIEC.
The major functions of the Corporation are the generation, transmission, supply, distribution and sale of electricity throughout the British Virgin Islands.

I’m a little skeptical of their IT office as I have tried many times to get my name off the caller list to tell you about bills being due and it has not happened. I would be concerned about the control of bills being paid as they are inept in this area as far as technology is concerned.
As a way of modernising the service can we have power ALL the time
