LONDON, JULY 19—The BVI Olympic Games Delegation got two days of international recognition and advertisement, ahead of next week’s opening ceremonies for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
On Monday, the BVI Delegation—the smallest of the 204 countries participating in the quadrennial sporting spectacle—were featured on BBC television global coverage, as they are the only Olympic Games delegation staying with families as athletes Tahesia Harrigan-Scott and J’Maal Alexander, prepare during a pre Games camp in Aston, located in Hertsfordshire County.
While Harrigan-Scott has made the Olympic Games 100m A qualifying standard, the territory is allowed one unqualified male to enter the competition and Alexander—who qualified for the IAAF World Jr. Championships held in Barcelona, July 10-15—was given the nod to attend the Games. An athlete in field events has to make the qualifying standard to attend the Olympic Games.
On Tuesday, the BVI was the first delegation to have their flag raised in the Olympic Games Village, when host families from Aston, officials from Hertsfordshire County, Enis Adams Primary School Cultural Dancers and London 2012 Olympic Games Chairman Lord Sebastian Coe, appeared at the team welcoming ceremony and greeted Alexander and Harrigan-Scott.
Following the Team Welcoming Ceremony, the BVI London Office hosted a reception, at which Friends of the BVI, Hertsforshire County officials and numerous persons who were instrumental in supporting the delegation, were on hand and thanked for their support of the territory’s seventh Olympic Games team.
As part of the activities, the Enis Adams Primary School Cultural Dancers also performed three items. They will also perform during Thursday’s Aston City welcome, which will also include athletes from St. Kitts and Afghanistan, who are residing in the Hertsfordshire County.
The BVI delegation will wrap up their pre Games training camp in Aston in July 25, when they will enter the Olympic Games Village, before participating in the opening ceremonies on July 27.
Athletics competition begins on August 3.

I think we should be standing behind the two BVI competitors and cheering them them on as loudly as we can. As the smallest country competing out of 204 nations, its a miracle we are represented at all so good luck Tahesia Harrigan-Scott and J’Maal Alexander, we wish you all the best
You know there is a lot of flack going on that people are not paying attention to in this Olympic year. Like the fact that the British military is the one keeping security and not the company that was paid the 450million to do so but kept the money anyways. Something is different and strange about this Olympics. Also the world is on the brink of WW3 and the media is not reporting this. The global monetary system is collapsed and now the printing press is getting ready to start again causing higher prices for us all. I personally think this Olympic is a distraction to the real problems. I would like anyone who reads this to watch this link of 7 videos and draw your own conclusions from them. This year marks the end of one era and the beginning of another. End of the monetary financial system and the ones who control it and the beginning or rise of the dark knight(Batman 2012). See when the movie came out and the time it started playing..12M. It is also written woe unto the inhabitants of the earth for Satan has come down unto you. If this is the time then, a great sacrifice will be made in the form of a false flag attack( killing hundreds of thousand, to usher in this demonic being with his minions. I hope this is not the case and pray for a better day. But seeing what is going on in this world makes it hard to shake the feeling. Watch and pray and get right with Messiah for our Salvation draweth nigh!

Shalom!
Batman came out at midnight last night and there was a shooting with at least 12 dead. Do not become alarmed if something drastic happens on 7/27/2012 in the form of what happened at 911. Know that it was planned to bring in the NWO.
Why do we have to be so negative againt our very own?????? WE ARE JUST CRABS IN A BARRELL AND WOULD FOR EVER BE. Small Island Small Minds.
boy we gone from bad to worst….this doesn’t look good at all
Gone from bad to worst in what way. Why we always have to bring down our own like that man.
