BVI Tourist Board seeks public’s views through new blog

Tortola, British Virgin Islands, 4th July 2012 – The BVI Tourist Board announces the launch of their new blog, “BVI Talk Tourism”.
Created to stimulate discussion on issues pertaining to tourism in the British Virgin Islands, it is the first of a series of incentives being used to improve communications between the public and the Board.
The site will include frequent posts and questions surrounding various topics on the country’s tourism product that will be open for commentary and feedback. It will also include images and videos showcasing tourism events and highlights.
“In recognising the lull in communication between the Board and the general community, we have taken steps to implement interactive tools to solicit input on our tourism pillar,” said Malcia Smith-Hamilton, Acting Director at the Board. “The blog is a vehicle by which the public will be able to share ideas, and offer suggestions in preserving, developing and marketing Nature’s Little Secrets.”
Through BVI Talk Tourism and similar tactics to follow, the Board aims to build a relationship with the public whereby all can feel a part in building this destination.

why do we keep wastin our time and money on these silly things instead of actually marketing bvi tourism. the same people that don’t know what they are doing are continuing to do the same things- wrong!
