Cedar School 8 vs. 2 West End Combined
Jaden Chalwell managed to continue the goal scoring form that has coaches’ tongues wagging, by bagging four more goals. Leo Forte also scored a hat-trick for Cedar, with an own goal by West End finishing the scoring. For West End Combined, Michael Richardson scored one and Ajai Frett scored West End’s second.
The following game between Althea Scatliffe and Seventh Day, Althea Scatliffe won by default due to Seventh Day being unable to field a team.
In Virgin Gorda St Mary’s / Valley Day edged out Cornerstone by a solitary goal.
The match was played with 6 players on each team as Cornerstone only had 6 players.
Early in the game Elian O’Neal narrowly missed the chance to put St Mary’s ahead, but St Mary’s kept up pressure on the Cornerstone defence.
Cornerstone managed some good breakaway attacks with Stephano Paul showing good skill and speed.  However, the St Mary’s defence was strong, with Harsh Banthia and DeQuan George playing well.  At one stage Tiriek Samuels, in goal for St Mary’s, accidently used his hands to stop a shot, and Cornerstone was awarded a penalty, which Tiriek saved.  At half time the score was 0-0.
In the second half Elian O’Neal had an excellent shot hit the crossbar, and Ethan Khan made some good scoring opportunities but was not quite able to score.  All through the game both sides played intelligently and passed the ball well and created chances.  Harsh Bathia, one of the youngest and smallest of the St Mary’s players, was outstanding in tackling bigger players and then passing the ball to set up attacking moves.  Eventually the St Mary’s pressure paid off when DeQuan George intercepted a clearance kick, and scored with a hard accurate shot to score the only goal of the game.
Later in the week saw St Mary’s Valley Day draw with Bregado Flax 2 goals each.
Ethan Khan scored a penalty for St Mary’s, adding to Samory Romney strike. Earl Wilson then rescued the draw for Bregado Flax.
Early pressure by St Mary’s led to a corner kick, and a fine pass by Harsh Banthia enabled Elian O’ Neal to shoot.  A defensive handball resulted in a penalty being awarded to St Mary’s.  Ethan Khan scored with a well taken shot that brushed the crossbar before it went into the goal, leaving the goalie no chance.
A few minutes later Bregado Flax equalized after a good attacking move led to a goal by Earl Wilson.  Bregado Flax kept up the pressure and Ariq Flax Charles almost scored with a shot that went over the bar.   At half time the score was 1-1.
In the second half Samory Romney intercepted an attempted clearance and scored to put St Mary’s ahead again.   The greater size of the Bregado Flax players eventually prevailed and after St Mary’s were unable to clear the ball from an attacking move by Jawan Stevens, one of the Bregado Flax players was able to score and tie the game.  Both teams played well and a tie was a fair result.
