BVP (Truth for the Youth)… BLACK HISTORY – SLAVERY OR RELIGION?

Alred C. Frett - Thursday, February 16th, 2012 at 9:26 AM

Alred C. Frett

Besides being the 2nd  largest Continent and 1st  in Natural Resources Africa still remains the World’s poorest & most underdeveloped Continent… Her Natural Wealth has been stolen by Invaders and her People used, abused & diluted to the point of lost Identity. As a consequence ‘Black People’ is now the universally accepted term for Africans & their Descendants.

These are facts we must face and because none of this would have happened without Slavery it follows that any reference to Black People would be an understood reference to Descendants of Slaves thereby making Black History Month in actuality Slave History Month… Perhaps the extra Leap Year day will provide opportunity to learn more about ourselves; both past & present.

The deep irony in regarding February as Black History Month is self-evident since, not only is this the shortest Month but most Blacks know less or their own History than they do of others. In fact many Slave Descendants are still so ashamed of their Black Roots that they ‘Bleach or Brown’ themselves in order to seek social acceptance from numerically inferior Races.

For Centuries Africans have been deep-programmed to deny their Trials & Tribulations are linked to a Slavery that could & would never have existed without full support of Religion. This self-denying complex conditioned us to accept Fantasy as an escape from the harsh pains of Reality and anyone who chooses Facts over Fiction is painted as the Enemy by Oppressors.

We play deaf & dumb to the fact that every crime against humanity is a mainstay in Religious Doctrines as the means by which jealous Gods fulfill their own desires to dictate & dominate. The mere act of Slavery depends on the practice of discrimination where one set of Nut Cases claim to be ordained as the Chosen People of Imaginary Gods and all others are seen as Infidels.

These Missionaries of Oppression & Invasion measure the value of their Victims by comparing Gods of the Oppressor to Gods of the Oppressed and then proceed to torture the Oppressed into believing they will only receive Mercy by giving up their Wealth, denouncing their own Beliefs and adapting Gods of the Oppressors who sell this Devil’s Invasion as their God’s Liberation.

This is exactly what was done to Africans who had no established Religions and were labeled by Western Propaganda as a Godless People who needed to be saved… The Western World also mislabeled Obeah & Voodoo as African Religions when these were merely the Slaves’ Broken Christianity just as Patois (Patwa) & Creole are the Broken English, Spanish & French of Slaves.

The only reason for forcing Religion on Blacks was simply to keep them Docile & Ignorant… Massa succeeded because Slave Descendants still force their Children to exist in 21st Century Slavery; fighting & dying for Massa’s Religions of Convenience… Oppressors strongly refute these truths because their greatest fear is of our People looking forward to Life instead of Death.

This explains why my struggles for Education & Knowledge for our People continue to be met with efforts to destroy or silence me in order that Games of Hypocrisy would force us to accept the Greed of our Leaders and lessons of Willie Lynch… They find ecstasy in making us willing to sacrifice ourselves for fables of After-Death Rewards in some imaginary place called Heaven.

Even in trying to explain their Faith they openly acknowledge that Religions are based on Powers of imaginary Gods, the use of discrimination& blocking of Progress… They know Knowledge is the Key to Freedom so they use the confusion of Church and Religion to keep us shackled to the Millstone Traditions of our Ancestors thus making Massa’s Wickedness our Inheritance.

Absence of Facts will not stop them for when Blind leads blind irrational appears rational since neither leader nor follower knows beginning from end and without this ability to lead by example even Places of Worship are impotent at fighting Sexual Immorality, Social Injustice, Gambling, Crimes or Race Track Betting since they too may be guilty of Sexual Abuse, Robbery & Bingo.

Beware of those who flaunt Wealth & Power to impress & oppress… Their top seats in Church, gilded Caskets and after Death Rewards will bring no real solutions to the Lives of our People… The only way to improve the present & future for Blacks is by facing the causes of the symptoms & replacing Fantasy with Reality… This and only this can remove the confusion of a Generation.

In their present La-la Land we are Victims of Paradox where no Doctrine is more damaging to Africans than Religion and no Place safer for Slaves than Churches… By mistaking one for the other we are becoming overwhelm by claims of Religion, Wealth & Power by Doctors, Lawyers, Bureaucrats & Technocrats … It is time to stop and apply some basic commonsense.

It’s time we focused on the value & importance of Life instead of seeing Deaths & Funerals as opportunities to fill Churches with Captive Audiences so Pastors can make false promises of better lives after Death, misleading our Children into false & foolish Doctrines… Unfortunately, this year is already providing far too many occasions for Religions to indulge in this behavior.

While I am no supporter of Religion I deeply appreciate contributions made by Synagogues, Mosques, Churches & other places of worship in their role as Rotary Clubs for the Poor… However, it is sad that they fail humanity by promoting abuse of our Forefathers and separation of our Children from Knowledge & Reality leaving many too afraid to change or question Folly.

Those not caught in this Web of Deceit know full well that even the greatest Rulers & Religions once swore Earth was flat and circled by the Sun with Heaven being just above the Clouds… Today, even our Grandchildren know this is all untrue yet Oppressor Nations continue to use their Power to suppress others & enforce Ignorance by blocking Education and killing Scientists.

When the Hypocrisy of those claiming to be most religious is uncovered we find these are the biggest Oppressors… Just as during Slavery when our Ancestors saw God as necessary for their survival while Masters saw God as a Tool for their own prosperity nothing has changed… Our refusal to realize that Slavery only exist because of Religion diminishes our own existence.

During Black History Months some wear Dreadlocks & African Garb while still bowing to Slave Masters Gods in lip-service ceremonies but all this means nothing as long as we ignore real facts & unfinished struggles… Slavery is always based on Greed which is tied to the love of Money.
If this love of Money is the Root of all Evil then Religion must be its fertile Soil & Water Hole.

We may not know who made Man but there is no mystery who made Gods & Religion

Christianity was the perfect tool for keeping the slave docile.

thats why most of the great slave rebellions in the new world were initiated by muslims.

investigate: Boukman of Haiti, Cinque of Amistad fame and the revolts of Bahia in Brazil.

You have obviously never been to East Africa. In Zanzibar they still resent the English for the abolition of slavery. The mixed race but muslim and German ruling classes were one of the last to accept Britain’s stance.

I can see Mr. Frett’s point, but we have to live with what we can’t change. Yes, Africa is poor and so is Haiti, Guyana, India, and Egypt. They were once some of the richest places on earth until the Europeans descended on them. Yes, our fore-fathers had the wool pulled over their eyes by the white man because they thought he was God and far better than them. Yes, the very same thing is still going on today in most parts of the world even right here in the British Virgin Islands. Our fathers are still allowing the white man to pull the wool over their eyes and taking what’s his and his children’s. “When the land is rich and it’s people are poor, something is very very wrong with that picture”.
