Tuesday, June 15– Coming off a 100 meters personal best of 12.09 seconds last week in the Caribbean Scholastic Classic in Puerto Rico, Darnetia Robinson on Friday won Barbados’ Olympic Classic Under 20 Girls race in 12.14 seconds. She ran 12.30 in the prelims.

The upcoming Youth Olympic Games bound sprinter finished third in Saturday’s 200 meters after covering the furlong in 25.00 seconds. Robinson who earlier ran a personal best 24.90 and has run under 25.00 in successive races, produced a 25.82 time in the prelims.

Shaquoy Stephens was second in the Under 17 Boys 200 meters in 23.41 seconds, after recording a personal best of 23.09 in the prelims. The Elmore Stoutt High School student placed fourth in the 100 meters in 11.71 seconds, after advancing to the finals with an 11.70 mark.

Tarikah Warner—also joining Robinson at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore—won the 400 meters intermediate hurdles in one minute .08.00 seconds, following up in the personal best of 1:07.22, recorded at the Caribbean Scholastic Classic.

Kanishque Todman, a 2006 CAC Jr. Championships Heptathlon silver medalist, jumped back into the arena with a score of 3,051 points in six of the seven events discipline. She did not run the 800 meters, the final event on the 2-day program.

Todman began her Heptathlon comeback on Friday, by producing a mark of 16.48 seconds over the 100 meters Hurdles, worth 657 points. She picked up 544 points after clearing 1.43 meters in the High Jump. She heaved the Shot Put 8.60 meters to collect 438 points and ended the day by garnering 614 points after running the 200 meters in 28.22 seconds to tally a day one total of 2253 points.

On Saturday, Todman cut the sand at 4.87 meters to bag 524 points from the Long Jump. Her Javelin Throw measured 19.21 meters worth 274 points bringing her total to 3051 points as she did not start the 800 meters.

    I HAVE ONE QUESTION…. WITH THE HURDLES AND THE PERSON WHO IS GOING TO SINGAPORE, HOW MANY PERSONS WERE IN THE RACE? HOW MANY?
