The 3rd Annual Caribbean Wellness Day Celebrations is on Saturday, September 11, 2010 and this year district #4 Road Town’s representative Dr. Vincent Scatliffe and committee members in collaboration with the Ministry of Health would like to invite you, your staff and your family members to join us on a Health & Wellness Walk Breakfast on Saturday, September 11, 2010- 4:30 am sharp starting from the Noel Lloyd Park.

This year’s celebration will continue under the theme “Love That Body”  and district 4 community slogan is “Quick and Healthy Breakfast & Exercise”.

Caribbean Wellness Day is observed annually on the second Saturday in September.  The purpose of the day is to heighten awareness of some of the risk factors associated with chronic non-communicable diseases and to help mobilize a sustained response to reduce chronic non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer, which are on the increase in the territory. After the walk, everyone is asked to regroup at the Noel Lloyd Park for the following:

-         Partake and learn how to make quick and affordable healthy Breakfast

-         Health talk and educational materials

-         Demonstrations of quick exercise routines

-         Gain awareness of health issues in the community and how the prevent and care for them

Again! I would like to encourage you to support and join the community base health walk. To pre-register please call Carol M. Smith at 544-2852 or email at [email protected]

Love your Body . . See you there!
