Knife-toting trespasser faces court today

A man was taken before the Magistrate’s Court on December 7 after he allegedly stormed into the bedroom of a woman at her home. He was at the time wearing gloves and also carrying a knife.
Courtney Fahie, aka Dudu Man, was charged with criminal trespass and being armed with an offensive weapon after it is alleged that he entered the virtual complainant’s (VC) Hope Hill premises on November 19.
The court heard that on November 19 the VC was sleeping with the door to her bedroom closed (but not locked) when she was awakened by a knock on her door which was forcibly opened.
The VC said she was surprised to see the defendant standing there with gloves on and a knife in his hand.
The woman is said to have called her brother who came and saw the defendant allegedly run away.
When the police responded to the VC she told mentioned certain things and pointed to a knife that was in the closet in her bedroom. The knife was taken into police custody.
The police met the defendant and he allegedly said: “Lucy called my phone around 5:30 and told me come to her house when I finish work so we can talk.” He was also shown the knife and told the police that it was his knife which he used to do his work.
