The Virgin Islands Festivals and Fairs Committee is inviting the public to participate in the theme and slogan competition for Festival 2013 which marks the 175 year of full emancipation from slavery in the Virgin Islands.

Entries must focus on the Virgin Islands historical and/or cultural heritage and the 175 anniversary of full emancipation from slavery. The slogan must include the words Festival 2013.

Interested individuals should submit entries to the Department of Culture located on the second floor of Ward’s Building on or before Tuesday, 15 January. Winners of the theme and slogan will receive a cash prize of $250.00 each.
