Everything in place for ‘Fisherman’s Day’ this Friday

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour and the Conservation and Fisheries Department are inviting the public to the Fisherman’s Day celebrations this Friday, July 1 at Long Bay Beach, Beef Island.
The festivity starts at 9 am and continue until 10 pm.
Activities to include fishing tournaments in the reef fishing and trolling categories, friendly domino games, rescue demonstrations, crab races and food and drinks on sale.
A new initiative this year is the lionfish tournament where the winner will take home a grand prize.
