If the National Democratic Party had not refused to renew the government’s contract with Ocean Conversion then Biwater would not have had an avenue in which to tender a bid and eventually secure the contract.

This is according to Virgin Islands Party (VIP) First District Representative Andrew Fahie as he added a new twist to the already controversial Biwater agreement that he had once stood against in the House of Assembly.

“The NDP Government refused to renew the contract for Ocean Conversion. They are the ones who made it possible for Biwater to submit a proposal,” Fahie said.

He added the opposition continues to place the blame on “everyone but themselves” for the situation that is now before the people of the Virgin Islands. “NDP records will show that because of their action millions and millions and more gone through Ocean Conversion door.”

Further, Fahie said a $24 million “secret” sewage management contract was signed out of the hands of local contractors under the NDP government.

The agreement was signed with Global Waters, Fahie said, to purchase and operate a 250,000-gallon per-day treatment plant.

“This is $20 for every 1000 gallon. Imagine $7 to make water and $20 to flush it. NDP records will show millions and millions and more were allowed to go through our treasury door,” he said.

The VIP knows they are in trouble for lying and cheating, this man Frazer have a personal problem with anyone who have a successful business ideas. While he is getting rich and setting up his people to live on handouts, he wants to distroy those who are successful. Now he is on the air telling us BIWATER will be giving us 70% of things free,(It’s A Lie!!!)how can this be when they are making over 40 mill at the end of the deal?
How stupid do he think we are? Andrew Fahie needs to come clean with those lies he told also they make me sick. The VIP is in trouble and they know it so they will try anything at this point to look good.

This is like my comparison: If it wasn’t for my boss not giving me a raise then I wouldn’t have had to rob the bank. If it wasn’t for my mother grounding me then I wouldn’t have had to sneak out to go to the party and get drunk and killed someone while driving drunk……EVERYTIME THE MEMBERS OF THIS VERY PATHETIC PARTY OPEN THEIR MOUTH THEY EMBARASS THEMSELVES…please shut up all of you…people all over the world has access to the internet and will be able to read your stupid comments and then unfortunately believe that all BVIslanders are STUPID….THANKS

Its obvious that they knew of this information and did not want to air it to the public to hurt anyone’s opportunity (trying to play fair). However, all that is happening is that NDP making all these claims and throwing this out and that about VIP and so on; hence VIP airing their dirty laundry.

You believe what you just wrote? This argument even seems logical to you? Its obvious that you are a VIP sympathizer but you got to be a moo moo too, because how does the government which comprised members of the NDP party at that time, and yes some of those members were also members of the Investment club which had interest in Ocean Conversion, take food out of there own mouths?

Its obvious to me that the government of the day, tried to negotiate with Ocean Conversion on behalf of the interest of the people and that Ocean conversion in turn looked after the interest of its shareholers, it is certain that lines of interest may have blurred (oh look i can say that and I actually like the NDP) and it could have resulted in the situation that arised but dont come here and tell us that because the government refused certain details put forth by Ocean Conversion that that equals BIWATER.

Wheel with that nonsense, we didnt tell any one to go aboard and INVITE in another company without letting anyone know until a contract that couldn’t be voided was already signed. Thats on you and your people Mr. Fahie, that had nothing to do with the NDP. Take responsibility for that! If the VIP was so bloody concerned with saving money for the BVI people, they would have made the water and sewage problem a bidable contract, if they were concerned, we would not have a ghut that cost millions of dollars and still not finished, if they were concerned the lies they told about fixing the sewage problem, should not have stop them for allow projects that were in place to deal with the immediate issues while planning for the long term. If they were concerned they would have done a more effective job of negotiating with the local companies to keep the money HERE!!

If the VIP was concerned about US they would not have lied and said their was no money to spend when they got in and then proceed to spend with astonishing speed the very money they didnt have.

but i understand why you and your partners did it Mr. Fahie, because apparently BVI people like to be lied too.

But the money was low. Subtract all the petty contracts signed just before election, subtract money not left to complete the incinerator, subtract money not there to pay for VG house, subtract money for those 5 big vehicles that the Government was called for. Those are what I know.

But yet NDP is investment club? WHICH IS IT!?? They need to stick to one story line! If NDP is investment club then why would they not renew the contract of OC, which is owned by the investment club? YOu see why you shouldn’t tell lies Mr. Fahie? Tell your partners on VIP this is what happen when people lie!

Members of the NDP ticket had and some continue to have an interest in the investment club?

Is it not a fact the the NDP did not renew the OC water supply contract?

Is it not a fact that the NDP did not even sign the new plant of OC at the eastern end of Tortola?

I think the real point is NDP government did not renew the OC contract and failed to even finalize the payment of arrears to OC. The issue here is that we should not label and blame any party, this is about politicians, people and the interest of the BVI people.Sometimes all interest are not aligned and humans are indecisive when they do not think they are benefiting enough. Stop trying to put this thing as NDP or VIP, it is about specific persons losing an opportunity which they thought was guaranteed because they publicly or financial supported a sitting specific government, and it did nto work out like that; indeed it never does when they want it the most. Greed is not knowing when to stop raping the people.

The reason they didn’t handle it as a Government is because if they gave OC money, you all would’ve said NDP paid themselves money. Instead, they put it in the Courts! The Courts ruled that the plant is Government own but the Government owes $10mil in back pay. TELL THEM PAY IT! These are the facts!

Also, the distribution and storage of water was GOVERNMENT’S JOB! Not Ocean Conversion!! They were only paid to PRODUCE water! But Fraser got up there and lied BOLD FACE!! It’s okay though, all those lies will catch up for sure!!

Greed is what led to the OC situation. The BVI Investment Club was to darn greedy. They couln’t get enough money. Want all get none. The love of money is the root of all evil.

Lets here the CXC result and why the High school has a big tent for their cafeteria? Why there is a million dollar contract to fence the High school and not being put towards a new high school. I just cannot stand this man. Every times he open his mouth is a set of garbage that comes out. Now I see why our school system is like that.

Andrew Fahie, I have lost all respect for you. And they does call you an educator? Well all your education just went out the door when you blame NDP for the Bi-Water contract, because they did not negotiate with Ocean Conversion. You are down right silly and childlish. I could call you more names, but this medium I am sure will not allow it. Maybe now you just shouldn’t run in this election, because you are not qualified.

I agree completely with you. Ocean Conversion ask the vip government for a contract and they refuse to give it to them because they already had their plan to bring in BI-Water. So Andrew should be a shame of himself to let such rubbish comes out of his mouth

….and the dog ate my homework. It is so easy for a failed politician to blame others for his shortcomings. The NDP fell way short when they were in power in 2003-2007, but that does not mean that they are responsible for the VIP government’s mistakes. Hon Fahie, be a man and admit when you are at fault.

Such arrogance in that comment; moving to fast for who? This is the typical bigot mentality which got the NDP out and if you want them to have a chance to get back in stay away from this kind of foolish comment.

One functioning government was removed for a clearly nonfunctioning group of individuals, BVI was the envy of the caribbean in 2006, they were removed for wanting to put a golf course & hotel on Beef Island.

          WHich is needed btw.

Funny u got offended & I’m just a non-partisan voter but if you want to vote in 4 more yrs of this go right ahead it’s your constitutional right LOL
