The Department of Agriculture is reminding all primary school children and parents, that the deadline for the Farmers’ Week Poster Contest is Monday, January 7, 2013. The entries should be inspired by and reflect ideas that display the theme; “Sustain Ourselves and Secure our future by Training Youths in Agriculture”
The rules are as follows:
Only one entry per student will be accepted
Poster entries must be drawn, using pencils, crayons or coloured pencils.
Entries must be submitted on 8.5” x 11” paper
Digitally created artwork will not be accepted
Poster entries may or may not include text
All artwork must be original
Winners will be selected from three categories:
Stages 1 and 2;
Classes 1 and 2; and
Classes 3, 4 and 5.
The winners will be announced during Farmers’ Week 2013 and the winning entries will be featured in the Farmers’ Week booklet. Each winner will receive a certificate of merit and a surprise gift. The public is asked to show their full support and participation.
