JUNE 13—Game MVP Sapphire Flax had a field day, scoring five goals and Lavern “Ebony” Fahie added four, in the Bregado Flax Educational Center’s 14-2 rout of the Elmore Stoutt High School in the BDO Schools league play, which wraps up later this month.

After Flax began her scoring binge in the 14th, Fahie completed a hat trick with goals in the 1st, 5th and 15th. Flax’s other goals came in the 17th, 27th, 34th and 35th.

Others finding nets were J’Sally O’Neal in the 12th, De Ashii Geroge in the 18th, Makeda Fahie in the 19th and Jonella Lake in the 32nd. Bregdo Flax got a gift from an Elmore Stoutt own goal in the 37th, and Fahie capped the highest scoring game in the league, 50 minutes in.

Shemica Liburd had Elmore Stoutt’s first goal in the 16th with Tevern David adding the second four minutes later.

Corner Stone’s Devante Samuel scored the game’s only goal two minutes in and earned MVP laurels, during a defensive 1-0 victory over St. Georges, in their Under 12 matchup.

Another good defensive match saw MVP Dante’ McCoy leading Althea Scatliffe to a 1-0 victory over Robinson O’Neal, in their Under 12s contest.

Bregado Flax and Seventh Day Adventist played to a scoreless draw in their Under 9 game, while Enis Adams and Althea Scatliffe had a similar result in their Under 12 contest.

Timothy Lewis collected game MVP honors, after leading Joyce Samuel to a 1-0 win over Seventh Day Adventist in their Under 12 game. Leo Forte scored a hat trick in leading Cedar past the West End Tigers, 6-1, in an Under 12 match. Braden Chalwell opened the scoring in the 7th and Forte began his trio in the 8th.

Tequan Stoutt cut the deficit to 2-1 for the Tigers in the 20th, but Forte put his team back on top in the 22nd and completed his hat trick four minutes later. Chalwell added a second goal in the 32nd with Liam Block rounding out the scoring in the 39th.

An interschool battle between Cedar Blue and Cedar Green resulted in a defensive tussle, with Alandjaro Santos having the only score five minutes in. Tinia Vanzoost was the match’s MVP.

First Impression walked off 2-0 winners over Althea Scatliffe in their Under 9 contest, on goals by Jalen Prentice in the 12th and Noah Pierce—the game’s MVP—in the 30th.

Cedar and Elmore Stoutt played to a 2-2 draw in their Under 14 game. Leo Forte in the 5th and Josh Morell in the 27th scored for Cedar. Game MVP Robert Browne had both Elmore Stoutt goals, scoring in the 15th and 28th.
