Fraser

Opposition member and Third District representative Julian Fraser feels that the programmes currently in place to deal with healthcare and education in the territory need reinforcing.

Speaking in the last sitting of the House of Assembly, Fraser said in his view the government has a responsibility to ensure that the health of its citizens is protected and preserved at whatever cost.

He told the House that the minister and his ministry are making every effort to assist in cases where citizens have healthcare issues and they are doing it to the best with the resources they have available to them, but according to Fraser, this assistance is not enough.

“It’s no use giving a person half the money for their healthcare treatment overseas when they don’t have the other half. The only option they have at that point is to lay down home and hope for a miracle, and you and I know that miracles don’t come like that.

“The only miracle they could be hoping for is to die in peace and that is happening here in this territory. And I don’t want anybody to say to me, well it was happening when your administration was in; if it did, it was wrong, and if it’s happening now, it still wrong, and if I don’t speak about it, I am wrong. I don’t care how it happened and what it takes to make it happen, but there are citizens in this territory who do not have a dime to their names and they are human beings just like you and I, and human beings get sick,” Frazer said.

According to Fraser some will have the resources and some have insurance but the majority of people in this territory do not have insurance.

“I personally don’t know how they survive,” he said.

The Third District representative said if there is an ailment that can be taken care of at Peebles Hospital they go there, but there are many cases where people cannot go to Peebles because they do not make provisions to take care of such short ailments. He said he did not bring up this matter to make the current government or any government look bad.

“I am saying it out of conscience,” he said.

He said he will continue to come to the House and wherever he gets a chance that “it is our responsibility to provide healthcare or health insurance, other means for our people to get their healthcare taken care of, and if I do nothing for four years and I can help someone find a way to get treatment, I would have done myself, my territory and my people proud”.

Frazer said cutting bush and cleaning drains is necessary but preserving life is more important.

It’s such a pity that soo— many of our people seem to be suffering from short term memory. Wasn’t it the VIP who invented the tradition of cutting bush to secure votes from the young people within their districts? If it wasn’t wrong then, what is wrong with it now? The 3rd District Rep. had more than enough opportunity to initiate and to improve upon this and many other things when he was in power; but he did nothing. At this point and time, it is completely useless for him to be finding fault. “Who is without sin, let him cast the first stone”.

You know money never saves anyone’s life. So he is talking about health insurance, when it is Almighty who gives health. I guarantee you can find a cure for them same sickness in the bushes that are being cut. There was a time when insurance did not matter because the natural remedy whether bush or herb was the cure(not treatment), and still is. When people and leaders believe that money will solve everything, that is when we know society is on the verge of complete destruction.

P.S the only reason people are dying the way the do is because of unbelief. They say they believe in Almighty and when they sick they go to a man who they have to tell what is wrong with them. If Almighty is the one who made the body, it is him who can restore it. People need to trust in Almighty, pray for forgiveness to fix their diseases if they say they believe in him. Let them who have ears to hear, hear! That may seem too simple to believe, but Messiah only used words to cure the many that were healed!

    Shalom!

(1)why them fail to mention those stop lights that work? (2)why them fail to mention the affordable cellphone rates that he got us? (3)why them fail to mention the cheaper water rates that he got us? (4)why them fail to mention the roads he paved all thru the countryside? (5)why them fail to mention the $15million he negotiated for?(6)why them fail to mention the facelift he give to the government complex? (7) why them fail to mention the upgrade he give to the horse track?

You all sound really proud to be stupid. How has the 3rd District benefitted from his 12yrs in office? Do you think you’re hurting anyone else by keep electing a man who only cares about himself and the people that worship him? Anybody else can kick rocks. He teaches the youth to depend on him so they won’t ever become independent, that’s how he gets votes. NDP don’t have to put noobody against him next time around, the 3rd District deserve Fraser, let him represent there until he get sick of it.

If he was half as concerned with these things when he was in office rather then doing nothing, then the territories roads, water & sewerage systems would not be in the state that he left them in.
He is a small man with a small mind, always pointing his finger at someone else to blame.

Same Frazer who chose to build a pretty well, a sidewalk to nowhere, the great wall of scb, erected unnecessary stop lights, and he himself gave out a ton of bush cutting to his people? Really? Give me a break!

“cutting bush and cleaning drains is necessary but preserving life is more important.”
Like building great walls and a sidewalk to nowhere ( or maybe to a Gov??? marina ) are necessary projects.
Fraser just go sit down with your nonsense.

You joking right? Look at who just gave out the same drain cleaning and bush cutting in SCBay, Fraser himself. Check his record when he was there, he was Minister of Bush Cutting and Sidwalk Works when he was in power so what he talking about? I swear this man bipolar or something.
