Fraser vows to finally put an end to sewage being dumped in Slaney

Communications and Works Minister Julian Fraser says the sewage from the many areas in Road Town and surrounding areas that are dumped in Slaney in the Third District has to stop.
Minister Fraser who raised the point  under “other business” in the House of Assembly last evening said it has been almost 30 years since  he has been complaining about this and he cannot go back to the people and ask for their vote without first addressing this situation.
His comments come in light of the final agreements signed between government and Biwater this week to complete all the precedents in the Water Purchase Agreement to allow Bi Water to begin work to address the sewerage situation in the territory.
Fraser spoke of returning to Tortola in 1982 and speaking about the dumping of raw sewerage in Slaney.
He said, “when I say something historic is about to begin, Mr Speaker -30 years ago I spoke about the dumping of raw sewerage in the ocean off Slaney and its still happening and there is no indication I see in sight of stopping this.”
“No one has brought forward anything concrete to show me where all that stuff goes. The stuff from Baughers Bay, Free Bottom, Purcell, Huntums Ghut, RoadTown, Horse Path, McNamara every where except the Third District goes down there – and I am talking about fecal matter,” Fraser said.
Fraser questioned whether it was right to go back to his constituents and asked for their support and this issue is not addressed.
“Do you think it’s right for me Mr Speaker to go back to the people of the Third District and asked them to support me for another term not doing anything about that after promising them that I was going to do something about it? I don’t think so, this has to stop,” Fraser said.
He said effective July 13 there is no turning back as to making sure that this stops  because there will be a sewerage plant to treat the sewage coming from metropolitan Road Town for the first time.
“It’s going to stop, and this may be one small step for most of you but it is a giant leap for the people of the Third District,” Fraser said.

Promises, promises. Unfortunately Fraser will not be around to see this project started let alone completed. And with Fraser out of the way, there is no hope for peter crumble returning to his former job. Bye BYE!!!

So let me get this straight! He will save us from the sewerage running out in the sea, okay, fine! But he will turn around and make it 10 times worst by filling in the bays and mangroves of Sea Cows Bay and Hannah’s? Save us from the sewerage but kill us with the silt? Is this man for real? This is the man filling in the bay and harbour like a maniac without telling anybody what’s goin on and now he’s acting as if he’s going to save us from the big bad sewerage? HAHAHA!! OH my goodness!!!
I look forwrad to the debate between him and OJ because that would be nice. I think OJ will take him to the cleaners. Oops, this just in, BREAKING NEWS!!!! Fraser will not accept the debate by any means as it will make him look foolish to his people of the 3rd. More after this short break…………..

This year makes 12 yrs that Fraser has been representative of the 3rd District. 30 yrs sewerage has been dumped from Slaney! I know you’re not the smartest, after all you couldn’t finish law school in UK. But, that should be some simple math for you! It wasn’t done in 12yrs, what makes you think i will be done now? He campaigned on this in 2003 and 2007, LOL!! OJ will mop sea cows bay with this crazy man! HAHA!!!
