Governor to challenge Premier at Festival sloop races

As the emancipation celebrations continue, the public is invited to attend the August Tuesday, Festival Sloop Races on Tuesday, August 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon at Nanny Cay Beach.
Governor Boyd McCleary, CMG, CVO on board MoonBeam will challenge Premier Dr. the Honorable D. Orlando Smith on board Sea Moon and President of the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College Mr. Karl Dawson on board Youth Instructor.
Persons are encouraged to watch the cultural races in traditional sloops built by local shipwrights. The winner will receive $2,000 to donate to a charity of their choice.
