Thoughts about the College, its role, mission, programmes and future:
HLSCC continues to fulfill its mission in preparing students to further their education at other colleges or universities around the globe. With its unremitting growth and dedicated professors, I am confident that the College will maintain a high level of expertise, and will continue to provide high quality education in the BVI.
In the future, I would like to see HLSCC offering independent four-year programmes and other advanced level courses, an endeavour which would most certainly benefit the entire territory.
Thoughts about time spent at HLSCC, education received and impact on your life
Despite what some may think, starting college education at HLSCC actually lays a great foundation for some of the vigorous courses encountered as one moves on to university level. Many students leaving high school are still quite young and the College provides an invaluable transition from high school level to the more advanced level expected in colleges and universities.
In addition, the high standard maintained at the College no doubt contributed to my credits getting accepted when I moved to study abroad. This shows that the courses at HLSCC can be equivalent to those taken at other institutions.
The time I spent at HLSCC will not be forgotten. The friendships I made with students and faculty at the College are still ongoing. HLSCC provided me with my first tertiary level degree and for that I will be forever grateful.
I take this opportunity to wish all current and prospective students at HLSCC the very best. Congratulations again to the HLSCC graduating class of 2007, and to the College on its 20th anniversary.
