Job offers pour in for ‘OJ’

Third district candidate for the National Democratic Party (NDP), Kevin ‘OJ’ Smith, is now considering his options after losing to the Virgin Islands Party’s Julian Fraser in the November 7 general elections.
Smith, who resigned as Post Master of the BVI Post earlier this year to run for office, told BVI News that he has been offered several positions but at present he is taking “some down time” with his family.
“I have always had other options,” Smith said, though not commenting on whether these options were offered by the new government. He however noted that not all of his options are of a political nature.
“I can’t say right now but I’ll see as time passes by,” he said in response to whether he will accept a permanent secretary post if offered by his party.
Smith, the only challenger to incumbent district representative Fraser in the general elections, made an impressive debut at the polls, recording 557 votes to Fraser’s 613.

What ever job you take,it will be a plus to the BVI. You are a person I admire. You have lots to offer the Virgin Islands. Don’t mind the small talk.
