A Saturday morning drizzle could not dampen the spirits of the cute little children who donned colourful costumes and participated in the 2011 Rotary Kiddies Fiesta today.
Children from all across the territory paraded through sections of Road Town in bands with themes entitled: “Love”, “Peace”, “Unity” and “Happiness”.
The troupe names were all part of the event’s overall theme: “Reach Within to Embrace Humanity”.
This year marked the 18th year of the Kiddies Fiesta and the usual parade features of moko jumbies, majorettes and kids characters were part of the event.
This year’s staging also featured face painting and a range of other activities designed to provide the ideal atmosphere for a fun-filled day for the children.

Turn the music down…ridiculous levels of bass..for KIDS? Don’t you know dem eardrums aint up for dat kinda damage. Strupes. Give the little ones a break. Why do BVI have to BLAST music out so? No-one enjoys that nonesense!
This was rain… not light drizzle and the parade went on and on and on beautifully. Well done Rotary and kudos to the kids for sticking it out.
