JUNE 7—Shaikh Lennard had a hat trick in leading Rainbow to a come from behind 4-3 victory over Enis Adams in their 12 and Under matchup, in the BDO Schools Football League, with four unanswered scores.
Miguel Marshall helped Enis Adams race to a 3-0 lead in the first 21 minutes of play, with scores in the 18th and 20th, before Shiloh Dawson capped what would be their last goal in the 21st.
Lincoln Forbes cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 29th minute, before the Lennard show began. Lennard completed his hat trick within an eight minute span, scoring in the 31st, 32nd and 39th.
After Althea Scatliffe Maroon shut down Lenora Delville, 2-0, in their Under 7 match. Shantavia Richards opened the scoring two minutes in with game MVP Kalique Callwood, adding a second goal later.
St. Mary’s and Seventh day Adventist played to a 0-0 draw in their Under 12s contest, with Tomel Peters earning MVP laurels.
Seventh Day Adventist and Bregado Flax played to a 2-2 tie in their High Schools matchup. Seventh Day jumped out to a 2-0 advantage, on Michael Tranquilla and Jael Lennard’s goals in the 22nd and 37th.
Bregado Flax’s Ronaldo Codner ended their drought in the 69th when he scored from a penalty kick. Gladstone bested the Seventh Day Adventist’s defense in the 83rd for the equalizer.
Giovani Grant picked up MVP honors after leading Joyce Samuel past the combo Willard Wheatley-Francis Lettsome squad, 1-0. Grant scored in the 27th.
