Please note that there was a burglary at a home in Towers, West End on Friday 16th March, 2012, during the day.
A netbook was stolen along with jewelry valued at approximately $3,000-$3,500. All should be on the lookout for a yellow gold omega necklace and pendant, a white gold omega necklace and pendant, a gold leaf-shaped ring with a rose in the middle, a Cruzan hook gold bangle with the name ‘Elizabeth’ on it, a gold Movado watch, diamond cut gold earrings among a few other pieces.
All items were received as gifts with immense sentimental value; however, the household is even more interested in the perpetrator (s) being identified and being brought to justice.

mehnn ayo just full ah s*** people been getting rob before cash for gold is just that now they are here makes it easy to get rid of gold start giving people jobs and crime will stop until then ah brother gotta eat and if is gold wa gon get u too eat well it will have ah lot more this just the tip of the iceberg
It seems to me you haven’t made an effort to learn to read and write, and therefore, it is highly unlikely you have any skills to be hired at more than a dishwasher or car cleaner. I also bet you consider yourself above those jobs. Guess what? You’re not! So tell me when someone spends years of their life educating themselves, working long hours, paying their bills and sometimes purchasing a gift for themselves that they deserve for their hard work, why do you consider it ok to steal the gold pieces they worked hard for because you are a lazy a$$???? Crime will stop when people like you start taking responsibility for yourselves; starting with a proper education. I suggest you learn grammar and spelling first. Then either enroll at the college or approach a local businessman and learn a trade or find yourself a job starting at the lowest rung in the restaurant or charter industry and work your way up the ladder through perseverance and determination!!! You earn the food you put on your table. Those of us who listened to our parents and teachers and worked hard to earn a decent living are not on this island for you to steal from. Trust me, things ARE going to change. We are sick of low life scum like you and are taking this country back. We are bringing in the resources to protect our belongings and catch persons like you. Hopefully places like this Cash For Gold, that make it, “easy to get rid of gold” will be prevented from doing business in the BVI when the Premier acknowledges the negative impact it is having on our communities by increasing the number of thefts. Trust me, he will soon be made aware of the numbers.
Wow. You did not mince words there. Hope he gets the message. Good for you.
come in my house nah i work from home
I understand that the thieves cut up the jewelry until it is unrecognizable before they take them to the “Cash for Gold”. But I can relate to the writer, I have been there. There seems to be no justice, but God does not sleep . . .We work hard to purchase our items and then some “lil pissy tail” boys come into your house, invade your privacy and take what they want, it just isnt right.
I have my addictions and I know that cash for gold is not a good thing because when I need a drink … I hustle to get my drink money.. I dont steal or anything like that but I do some work toget a lil change.. but I am skilled so I can do that…. but others will take other means to get money…
honest Joe
Mothers don’t be surprised or sorry when your sons get gun down because they no what’s rong from rite
To bad you cant spell for s***, W-R-O-N-G and R-I-G-H-T?? And the “know” you are looking for is spelt K-N-O-W not “no”. No, Rong and Rite?? Really??? LOL!!!! OMG!!!!! Did you graduate primary school??? Seriously??
surprised the cash for gold people haven’t been robbed , all that cash and at the end of the day all that gold !
Yeah and they can take it to the new company CASH FOR STOLEN GOLD. HA Ha
No Stolen Gold NO Cash!
We can buy it cheap if you stole it. TM
CASH FOR GOLD people always ask for ID and they do place your items on a copier and copy them along with your ID when you go in. I took a scrappy chain and one lost earring.
If those people have any sense….when someone come in with omega this and omega that in its perfect shape, you know something is wrong….but then again, criminals try to outdo themselves….maybe they bursting them up to take them in piece piece….but in any which ways….they do photocopy items and ask for ID…NO ID NO CASH.
Someone stole my gold link chain… I did not report it because the police here suck a$$ … so cash for gold is not a good thing right now… the economy sucks… so what is good to happy when these young guys (with nothing going on)say ..wow I can rob a chain and get some cash to buy weed?
And the Premeir had the audacity to say that the increased burgularies of gold items are not related to “Cash for Gold”!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cash for Gold is going to be here this weekend again……
dammm Must be Owned By A white woman….those sum expensive shit
So only white women are deserving of nice expensive things?
I urge everyone to photograph all your valuables and keep the photographs in a safe place and not in your computer which may be stolen!
If you have photographs to circulate on the internet, you are more likely to be able to catch the perpetrator(s).
Very sorry to hear you lost items having sentimental as well as monetary value.
And they say cash for gold has nothing to do with these robberies. Yeah right!
Must be Li…!!! He’s out now~
I know how it feels. The public is not aware of just how many home burglaries are taking placed. Let’s hope we can continue to post these thefts and descriptions of items stolen. I saw the end of an advertisement telling the days of the next Cash 4 Gold but I missed them. If anyone knows I would look out for your items there. Also, maybe contact the same stores in St. Thomas.
Surprise, cash for gold is on again this weekend
If you know the dates and hours and location where the Cash 4 Gold will be set up I for one would like to go there and look out for my recently stolen items. I will also be taking note of how they operate. Are they taking pictures of everything brought in for sale along with accepting only a valid picture ID for the sellers. Makes you wonder how a young man could walk in with a bunch of ladies gold rings and necklaces and actually have them bought by this franchise.
