Liquor licenses hearing set for June1

The Licensing Magistrate will hold a special sitting for the hearing of applications for the issuance of new and renewed Liquor Licenses on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 10:00a.m. at the Magistrate’s Court in John’s Hole.
Anyone wishing to apply for a license for the sale of intoxicating liquor is required to serve on the Licensing Magistrate and the Inspector of Police fourteen (14) days prior to the hearing, a notice in writing of his intention to make such application and is also required to publish such notice in a newspaper published in the Territory. Additionally, persons wishing to renew their applications should also submit their applications 14 days before the licensing day, after a notice has been served on the Inspector of Police.
Anyone who wishes to object to the renewal and granting of new licenses, shall give written notice of such intention to object, which must be served on the Holder of the Licence and the Licensing Magistrate seven (7) days before the licensing day, after a copy of the notice of objection has been served on the Inspector of Police and holder or applicant of the license being objected.
