Local company, Oyster Publications Ltd, will launch their newest publication, E Woman this Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the 2011 Women’s Empowerment Summit at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College.
E Woman Magazine, a high-end full-colour magazine dedicated to Caribbean women, will be published six times per year beginning November 2011.
Oyster Publications Ltd, a sub division of Oyster Global Marketing Group, also owns Business BVI, an annual business and investment magazine.
According to a press release from the company, E Woman will cover the “most dynamic areas of the Caribbean woman’s life, her enterprising spirit (business and finance), her exuberance (art and culture), her enchanting presence, (beauty, health and fashion), her extraordinary drive and passion for family (family life, relationships and entertainment) and her enduring quest for empowerment (education, travel and technology).”
Describing the inaugural issue, the company said: “Because of the many shades and hues, shapes and sizes of the Caribbean Woman, she is often perplexed about what is or is not beautiful. We will explore the rich diversity of the beautiful Caribbean woman, from creme to mango and mocha to rich, dark chocolate. We will also feature the amazing Cecile deJongh, first lady of the United States Virgin Islands on the role of the modern Caribbean woman and Subhadra Bowman of Jamaica on the relaxing and rejuvenating benefits of yoga. E Woman will explore the beauty of Christmas in the Caribbean, from Junkanoo in the Bahamas, to Parang in Trinidad. There will also be invaluable tips from our contributing medical, financial, fashion and legal experts.”
