Lorenzo ‘Blackboy’ Jennings Christmas Basketball League
District 7 and 8 Sports Committee - Thursday, November 29th, 2012 at 1:03 AM
District 7 and 8 Sports Committee is inviting all persons in the community to the Annual Christmas Basketball League beginning Sunday December 2, 2012 through January 2013.
Each year the committee wishes to name the League after prominent persons within the districts who made a valuable contribution to the sport of basketball. This year we wish to honor a prodigy, Mr. Lorenzo ‘BlackBoy’ Jennings.
Jennings played for the well known team DREADS. Come and see Jennings demonstrate those same skills he contributed to his team back in the days.
Opening Ceremony is scheduled for Sunday December 2, 2012 at 4:30 pm East End Park; games to follow the ceremony.
Game nights will be Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 6:30 pm. There will be no games on Wednesday December 5, 2012.

This is so beautiful…naming the league after Blackboy…Well deserved recognition. Life…Wish it had some videos somewhere that could be played on opening night showing his earlier performance. This is a good thing.
