Man charged for using accommodation twice without checking in or paying

Michael Ashby was taken before the Magistrate’s Court on August 17 to face trespass charges for entering Harbour View Marina twice without checking in or paying.
The first incident occurred on July 10 at about 9:50 am when the janitor reportedly saw a man lurking on the compound. When the janitor asked the man if he was a guest, he said no.
The janitor saw the man loitering on the compound a second time after returning from the laundry room. She became suspicious and began to check the rooms. On checking room number one, she saw the feet of a person laying on the bed. The person did not see her and she immediately went and notified her boss.
The virtual complainant (VC), who is the owner of the establishment, arrived and saw a rental vehicle about to drive out of the area. He ran to the jeep and stopped the driver and observed that the two defendants were the occupants of the vehicle.
The men were asked why they were on the premises and told not to return. Ashby allegedly told the VC that he didn’t know what he was talking about.
A report was made to the East End Police Station, and when officers arrived the establishment, CCTV camera footage showed the men walking in the direction of the rooms and later walking from the rooms.
On examination of the room it was noticed that the bed was crumpled and a strong stench of cigarette smoke was emanating from the room.
Later on July 15, the defendant Ashby was seen again at the premise. The discovery was made again by the janitor who noticed that the bed was crumpled again and a towel was used in the bathroom.
The CCT camera showed Ashby walking on to the compound at 6:48 am with an unknown female. The pair then headed to the direction of the rooms. The couple were seen leaving the hotel 18 minutes later.
Ashby was later met in the Crab Lot area and cautioned. He told officers: “Oh that morning, I only went there for a short while.”

All ya’ll laughing at 18 mins don’t even go 5mins with your mates. A 15min first round would make most women happy once they let off their steam. It’s not about how long, is how good. A woman would rather a good 5 mins than a dry up worn out 1hr long stabbing with no pleasure. No wonder the women around here cheat on their men, they seem to think it’s all about stabbing the meat for a long time. LOL sad!
