It’s finally here.
The long-awaited music video for Mullah Gwop’s local hit single ‘I Wish You Never’ is officially released today, Monday, Feb. 6, 2012.
The video was shot in Belmont Estate at Sade Villas. The story line, which was written by Mullah and his manager Khalid Frett and VI Lander Films, shows the elements of love, cheating, deception, trust and loyalty.
“The quality is exceptional,” Mullah told BVI News. “It surpassed my expectations. I was really astonished with how everything was put together.”
Actors in the video include Vianela Garcia, Shy, Elvin Stout, Michael Kendall, Dion Kendall, Mark Kendall and Ronald Brewley.
All the characters are local residents.
“I got to expose my own every opportunity I get; ain’t nothing like your own. I’m sure if they had the same opportunity to give me a little exposure they would too,” the artiste said of the local acts.
The video was expected to be released earlier but Mullah explained there were some setbacks and due diligence works to be sorted out.
“As I said before there are key factors that had to be sorted before the release. My management team and I had to complete a crash course in copyright and trade marks to ensure the album will be available for international resale; sort out contracts and agreements to ensure credit was given where credit was due; ensure lyrics are suitable for all audiences and even make some changes to the songs for the better so this is just a little token of my appreciation for their patience,” he said.
Now that the production is out it’s now time for “work, work, work”.
Plans for marketing and distribution, Mullah said, includes publishing the video on international blog sites around the world, Temp, JTV and “any other possible avenue for the most exposure; don’t want it just sitting there”.
“Album for sure yes, more tracks in store, more videos and some on-stage performances, so when you hear Mullah at an event make sure you come out and support, DUBB!” he added.
The Virgin Islands artiste said the production was a mixture of hard work and consistency.
“I just want everybody to know that if you want to be successful it’s going to take faith, consistency and hard work, and you have to want it bad. And I’ll like to thank God for without him this wouldn’t be possible, and everybody who was a part of the project and especially my manager (Khalid Frett) who took time out of time that he doesn’t have to make this come to existence; and you could look forward to more from us in the close future,” he said.
Mullah would also like to thank all those who took part in his video as well as to those who worked diligently behind the scenes. A special thank you is extended to 284 Bullies, Alister Gumbs, Kirk Adams and the sponsors of the videos.
You can also vote the song on the top 7@7 by texting Mullah Gwop I Wish You Never to the number 8677.

The f**n*** truth. I like this song it’s got a good sound and feel to it. The intro is shaky but, overall I would defiantly buy this on CD. I would also like to suggest another artist that you could work with. Long story short , Good Work! this is industry standard certified just needs a push
Keep up the good works and think you should make a video for all of your songs that you already make, all of them are hits in my opinion

where does this comment come in? do they even make good songs?
Well, i heard that they do have a Video coming out soon for their new song “She is the One”. But then again, this is not the forum for this. This is Mullah time to shine. S/O to Mullah & VI Lander Films. YDGT Babae!!!!!
This music video is reflective of every day life in the VI with VI women… they love to cheat and act like they did no wrongs smh
Women??? It’s the men cheating. Women always being left at home alone. Men out with 2-3 or more side things. There is no respect for women in the VI. People here should just avoid relationships altogether and be upfront about having multiple promiscuous sexual acts with whomever. I’m tired of seeing married men out cheating on my friends for the whole world to see but having to keep mum about the whole thing. As if she didn’t know! Honestly, women here need to clean out the bank accounts, kick their lying husband to the curb and NEVER accept an I’m sorry. Send all the cheaters to Norman Island. They can fill the place with strippers and whores. Send all the theifs to Anegada. Then we women can live in peace.
You sound like a lesbian. Holla at me!!! Whats up???
Your friend MAN aint cheating ALONE, he cheating on your friend with WHO…yes that’s right ANOTHER WOMAN. so stop point finger. u bitter old BIRD need to go sit down somewhere with your crap. Clean out who bank account? is stupid advice like that to ayo friends that have relationships messed up. money hungry heffers. Ayo cant live without man, bout live in peace..strupss. who more petty than woman? If it dont have no man around u think ayo aint gon turn on on another?
people dont forget khalid, he the man behind this too…. big up khalid, VI got talent! yu hearrrdd~!
excellent video!
Great job Mullah Gwop and Kirk the video is just amazing. its nice to see that BVI’s very own Bianca Van Katier recognises our local talent, you and your rich husband can now support these local artist, they need the push.
YDGT!
I’m actually surprised that the video was that good. Had a nice a storyline and everything that kept me interested throughout the entire video. Its a nice song too.
job well done.
THAT DOG SCENE SELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!

Another BIG tune and BIG vid from mehboy… Keep up the good works…. (Hand Sign)
WOW WOW WOW!! I’m impressed! Great song, GREAT PRODUCTION! Clean, professional!! The local music and production has been taken to another level. This one should be big. Keep up the good work meh boy!!!
I agree…this guy has alot of talent and potential but the name has to go…your’re going to be a marketing product of your country….i just fell the name has to go…when i hear your name i think of doin a number 2 in the bathroom…and you dont need to be think of that way..your’re talented my boy
that means you will think of him when ever you are doing that, or mean he is the sh8
This artist really needs to choose a different name that is more marketable, “Mullah Gwop” really sounds like the noise emanating from the bathroom early in the morning.
lol. I agree. Great voice. Great Attitude. But the name doesn’t match.
Trully loved it… hope u have an album to release and a second single to follow… market yourself son!!!! keep going!!!!
