OPINION: Department of Agriculture – Available for derelict vehicles

Before the floods of 2010, I have been jogging in the vicinity of Paraquita Bay; more specifically along the agricultural road. Since the 2010 floods until now there has been an unsightly vehicle parked in front of the Veterinary Clinic which is a government building.
Week in and week out as I jog along this road I realized that the dump truck can drive because it moved about ten feet more towards the entrance of the building from where it was the previous day.
I wondered to myself if the present head of the Agriculture Department does not realize how unsightly and unattractive this picture looks then why should I care. Week after week of jogging seeing that truck on my path has gotten to be disturbing. Then I wondered, well if the head of this department does not see what is obvious, then what else is this person blind to.
This truck has been there for so long that it seems to almost fade with the color of the building. I can only imagine that parking for the workers as well as clients is a daily concern. The dump truck is not the property of the government because it does not have government plates. So then who is it for?
Whoever is the owner, he has to have much more power than the head of that Department. It is unsightly and needs to be moved. How can anyone take agriculture in the BVI serious, the Department just looks like a joke.

The present head of the Agricultur Department has adopted a policy of, I hear nothing, I see nothing and I do nothing, so don’t blame me.

It is ridiculous, i was up there a few days ago taking my son on a friends farm. The scent of that vehicle is horrible. I don’t know which one smell worst; road town or that truck.And to add, there is a CAT TAIL hanging outside. The owner neede to be FINE! and government need to hold the vehicle (if they dont pass out)until they money is paid. This is ignorance!!!
The owner is a Government employee but not of the same department. Some people just do what they want and get away.
