The death of Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi should not be a cause for rejoicing but rather it should lead us to reflect on our own eventual death and on the moral responsibility we all have before God.
Gadhafi was gravely responsible for sowing seeds of division and for promoting hatred and violence. But how often do we do the same in the name of personal selfishness and greed?
Gadhafi’s brutal assassination should be an occasion for us all to analyze our own weaknesses and prejudices. There can be no world peace unless there is soul peace.
Of immediate concern too is the fear that the harsh and brutal regime of Gadhafi will be replaced with yet another suppressive regime as is often the case with violent revolutions. Hopefully the international community will help Libya’s new government quickly open up a rebuilding phase based on a spirit of inclusion and social justice.

@The Truth,
You are right on the money. The us is like a bad prostitute. Beautifull and promising from the outside Inside however, she is rotten filled with curruption and evil.Gullible people still think that Cuba and Haiti are poor today b/c of their people.
50+ Years of embargo that never worked on Cuba is Evil.
Haiti, had endure the embargo of France,US,and another EU country that i can’t remember now but Haiti was never able to rever from it up to today despite paying back its debt to France.
People need to read and do research only then they will find out who are the real terrorist.
One less “frig” to worry about.
It’s amazing how your mind works Mr. Kokoski, and how you seem to equate the deaths of known terrorists and mass murderers such as Gadhafi & Osoma Bin Laden (in the past) with some moral equivalent or moral lesson/insight people could learn from. Fortunately, I do not share your thinking, and draw totally different conclusions from their deaths.
Speaking for myself, thankfully, I for one do not need the deaths of these evil men to “reflect on my own eventual death and my moral responsibility before God.” Every day living is enough for me..
Nevertheless, I do agree that their deaths should not be a matter for rejoicing as I personally have no reason to celebrate. But that is easy for me to do given I have not one of Gadhafi’s victim either as one of his citizens nor a victim/relative of the hundreds of innocent souls he killed when he blew Pan Am Flight 103 out of the skies over Scotland.
If there is anything to reflect on or learn and understand from Gadhafi’s death in my view is that:
1. If you plant bad seeds, you can expect to reap a bad harvest one day.
2. The fight, competition and need for oil has probably played a role here in the larger geopolitical context as NATA, the U.K, and the U.S. had perhaps found enough pretext to go after Gadhafi. Surely, they did not go there on humanitarian grounds to free the Libyan people. History has shown where there is no oil, developed countries have little interest in loosing life or treasure. Think Somali and the Sudan, and finally,
3. Fundamentally, all humans want to live freely. And freedom is relative. No humans wants to be controlled when they can live in relative freedom.
@Ray you speak of this man as if you knew who he is or was. This is the same man that President Clinton and Tony Blair was eating and drinking with not too long ago. Go look on the internet. You all quick to swallow all the BS the media gives you, instead of looking at the truth. How quick and gullable are we when we concede to what is fed to us. The real terrorist are the ones who run our government and makes the rules. you and many like you all will see that this so called “war on terrorism” is nothing but a hoax and lies. The game will soon be up and we all shall see the real deceiver behind these lies. America and Britain makes allies with nations, and when they don’t do what they say they become enemies or terrorist. It will not be too long before they start calling regular citizens terrorist. Matter of fact it is on the way in this one world government they are trying to establish. Just another version of the “tower of Babel”. America needs oil and is soon broke. The Ponzi scheme is up. Remember the axis of evil? These are the 5 only countries left which have their own central bank. Notice America is taking them down. Read the book of Daniel and you will see this America is the same beast that is breaking the world in pieces. Let us not just look at the individual picture. We need to look at the overall deception of lies and murders.
Shalom!
