Photo of the Day: Collision at First Bank

Understanding the rules of the road still seems to be rocket science in the BVI as two vehicles collided in what seems to be a senseless manner outside First Bank in Road Town. The incident occurred moments ago (around 3:15pm) on the intersection shared by First Bank and Scotia Bank. It is understood that the driver in the black Nissan SUV took a tight right turn on Nibbs Street that landed him on the right side of the road. The oncoming Suzuki jeep seems to have missed the stop sign on the same junction and collided with the black oncoming SUV at the edge of the corner. Up to now police have not come on the scene to assess the situation but questions as to who had the right of was remain unanswered as all four corners that collide have stop signs.

Nobody stop here, even the Popo drive right on. I be a brave driver but not thru this corner!
At four way intersections internationally the rules are who arrives to their stop sign first can then proceede so on and so on. Tortola people are not exactly the sharpest pencils in the box when it comes to rules of the road so this is not shocking and they are also some of the most bull headed and ignorant drivers around they always want to be wrong and strong. Sometimes you laugh when they dead wrong in an accident but cursing not knowing the rules of the road..LOL!!!!!
