This man is seen here sitting comfortably at the side of the BVI Tourist Board building shaving. He is complete with his lathering foam, blade, water and mirror to allow for a smooth and monitored shave.

Don’t know this gentleman, but if he is mentally ill like others have alleged, let’t turn this picture into something positive.
Mental illness is simply that…mental illness. It’s an illness that afflicts many and depending on the specific diagnosis it is quite often treated effectively with medications. However, three of the biggest problems with the mentally ill are:
1. Denial of illness
2. Access to medication, and
3. Compliance
How we treat those less fortunate then us is an overall relection of our society as a whole. So next time you see/meet a mentally challenged person, do no abuse them in any way…either verbally or physicaly. Understand that they are afflicted by an illness which may cause them to act in ways that we do not approve or may understand. Certainly, do no laugh or make fun of them as well. They are some ones family memebers, and there go us but by the Grace of God. So show compassion if you cannot offer direct help.
please. can’t u just ppreciate the irony here – lol
What irony? This is a man who needs help. He is mentally ill. He is a human being who deserves respect. Your “lol” shows your inhumanity. You need your head examined.
This man is mentally ill and should not be exploited this way. Further, this does not speak well for our tourism economy. I don’t find this funny at all!! You news sources really should be more considerate about some of the madness you post….stupidness!!
This is shameful exploitation of a mentally challenged individual. It is not funny. Shame on BVI News!
