I reminisce about the times I walked with Christ
Never a day went by without meditation
Daily devotions, bible study and prayer
I even dreamt I went to heaven
And walked by the streams of living water
I talked with God and was overwhelmed
By the beauty of his Holy presence,
The atmosphere of a pure, sinless world spoken of in His words
Was unbelievable to my eyes as I stood by his side
Then one day I realized I was on the Broad Road.
As I lived my life each day
I allowed vanity, jealousy, and self to invade my mind
I got caught up with church friends doing ungodly things
Carousing, fornicating, being immoral and dishonest to
Then when it’s time for church
Praise God, Hallelujah, I love you!
Hypocritical wouldn’t you say?
I kept doing all the wrong things and remained on the Broad Road
I ignored the encouragement of some faithful church family and friends
To come home and be part of the body of Christ again
After all, God said, though your sins be as scarlet
They shall be as white as Snow
But I thought to myself, I’m having so much fun
I don’t need to serve God just now
Life is too exciting on the Broad Road
Then one day I awoke and realized that things weren’t the same
People were waling, screaming and running in fear
I asked one lady who was standing near — what’s wrong?
She said Christ has come and now executing judgment on us
For we have failed to worship Him and trust His words
Is it for real my life has ended on the Broad Road?
I cried and cried oh God forgive me
I’m sorry for the times I neglected you
It was too late my cry, he laughed at me
No one was there to console me, no one to cheer
For all the people were wailing, crying and in so much pain
It was then I realized that God’s word was true
He wanted me to choose the narrow road that leads to eternal life
But I chose the Broad road that lead to my destruction
Now my life is all over never to be no more
Just because I wanted to see what life was on the Broad Road

LOVE IT
The bible also did say that some will be sleeping while their loved ones will be taken. So maybe its when he got up and realise whats going on he asked the question of “whats wrong?” People will panick not because they are not aware of what is going on but because of the sudden grasp on reality. It will be more of a state of shock.
Good poem writer.
I do believe that every eye will see Christ when he comes to, but some people will be caught unaware and will be running to the rocks and mountain to fall on them. That is probably why she use that as an expression of the last paragraph.
Nice poem but I have a problem with this part:
Then one day I awoke and realized that things weren’t the same
People were waling, screaming and running in fear
I asked one lady who was standing near — what’s wrong?
She said Christ has come and now executing judgment on us
When Christ comes, every eye will see him, everyone will know. You will not need to ask anyone what is wrong?
But overall it is a good poem,
