Premier calls on Minister for Overseas Territories

Wednesday, November 17- The Minister for the Overseas Territories, Henry Bellingham MP, met the Premier and Minister of Finance the Honourable Ralph T O’Neal, OBE for bilateral discussions on November 16, prior to the annual Overseas Territories Consultative Council (OTCC), which the Minister is hosting today.
The Minister and the Premier discussed a range of issues of mutual interest and concern, including public finances and the importance of strengthening the Territory’s financial position. The Minister was encouraged to note a reported increase in revenue from financial services.
Minister Bellingham said: “The Premier and I had a good discussion, during which the Premier updated me on his government’s fiscal plans. We also discussed the recent upsurge in tourism and plans for the establishment of a new yachting centre in the Territory. I look forward to continuing our discussions during the OTCC tomorrow.”
