Pubic reminded to check travel documents before making travel arrangements

The Civil Registry and Passport Office is reminding the public to check their travel documents before making travel arrangements.
Applicants are urged to apply for or renew their travel documents in a timely manner in an effort to avoid inconveniences. Processing time for applying for new passports or renewing passports is five (5) working days. Applicants are eligible to renew their passport six (6) months prior to its expiration.
Additionally, persons travelling to the United States of America (USA) using the Visa Waiver programme, where the Visa is obtained from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force are reminded that both their departure and return must be made through St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands.
For additional information on applying for Virgin Islands passports, please visit the Civil Registry & Passport Office on the ground floor of the Central Administration Building, 2nd Floor, Burhym Building, or contact us at 468-3701 extensions 3442/3035/3038.
