The Virgin Gorda Festival Committee is inviting the general public to submit a theme and slogan for this year’s Easter Festival slated to be held April 7th to April 9th at the Recreation Ground, Valley Virgin Gorda, BVI.
This year’s theme and slogan must reference “Uniting the Caribbean”. It should depict persons who have achieved local and international success as well as made a contribution to BVI’s Culture in areas such as music, art and dance.
Submissions may be sent via email to vgfestival@hotmail.com. The prize for the winning slogan is $100 and passes for two to attend the village on both nights.
This year’s festival will feature the Virgin Gorda Festival Teen pageant, Prince and Princess Show, Easter Monday Parade and Food Fair.
Applications are available for the Easter Monday parade. Please may contact Ms. George @ 441-5389 or via email vgfestival@hotmail.com
This committee is also seeking individuals who would be interested in participating in the annual Calypso Show. Please contact Mr. Stevens at 541-0120.

If I read correctly, it stated “Uniting the Caribbean” that’s not something we do here with pleasure…or maybe you want to kill VG festival forever.
VG Easter Bunny, bring your Honey, for a Funday
(c/mon you can do better)
I agree with home made…. u must not be from VG. why u don’t say cut tola own and give VG a little more $. i agree we don’t need too much outside acts that don’t make sense like wen neil blyden brought all dem trini artist wa no body kno bout. the events should pay for them selves.
YOU TAKE UR HEAD OUT OF WHERE THE SUN DOH SHINE…. WHY U DOH SAY TAKE OUT EAST END OR CARROT BAY? AND IF U DID MORE TRAVELING, U WUD HAVE KNOWN BETTER. GO COMMENT ON POLITICS OR CRIME. NOT THIS. U SOUND LIKE U DON’T HAVE MUCH COMMON SENSE.
I think they should cancel VG Festival OR reduce the size of it.
When are we going to realize that the BVI cannot afford all these festivals?
For one of the smallest countries we have the most festivals of all the Caribbean islands and each of them are done poorly due lack of money …
And this isn’t that allot of money hasn’t been put in by private and public sector. However when you put things in perspective BVI has so many things done poorly and I really believe its because we are doing to much
Of all places you want to get rid of VG festival, why don’t you say get rid of east end or carrot bay…..with your bs.
