The Archives and Records Management Unit of the Deputy Governor’s Office is inviting the public to an open house on Tuesday, May 1 in observance of Records May Day between the hours of 10am and 4pm.
Visitors to the Unit will be treated to give-aways, video presentations, a mini exhibition featuring scanned genealogical documents and disaster management tips and techniques for records. Visitors can also get firsthand exposure to searching old newspapers, slave lists, colonial government records, missionary records and others on microfilm and see new techniques for scanning and preserving newspapers and more modern documents.
