Re-elected VIP members assure supporters of good representation

District One Representative and former Minister of Education and Culture, Andrew Fahie, has urged his party members to continue to press on and to have an open mind and a clear head in terms of how they intend to move forward.
“I know that the road ahead is quite challenging, our jobs now for those of us who are in the opposition is to continue to be steadfast in purpose and diligent in action. I don’t see that the Virgin Islands Party has anything to hold down their heads for, because you know you give it all you had and while you want to win, the reality is someone had to win, someone had to lose,” Fahie said.
He stated that there is only way for the VIP, and that is up, and as the opposition they intend to be vigilant and keep an eagle eye out for the affairs of the Islands, supporting what is right.
VIP District Two Representative J. Alvin Christopher, echoing similar sentiments, stated that the party’s support does not come without considering and examining every proposal by the government to ensure that it is good and for the people of the territory, promising to oppose when it is necessary on behalf of the people.
“I do believe that the opportune time will come again, and this party will rise again and continue to develop this country in and on behalf of the people of the BVI,” he promised.
District Three Representative, Julian Fraser, in his remarks, offered special congratulations to the new Deputy Premier and Minister of Natural Resources, Dr. Kedrick Pickering, the seventh district representative.
“I see Dr. Pickering as someone who will someday, in my mind, be the Premier of the Virgin Islands, so I think that the National Democratic Party deserve the patience of the people of the territory,” Fraser said.
He said the opposition also needs to be cognizant of the difficulties in the world as well as in the BVI and work with the Government for the betterment of the territory. “I don’t see any miracles on the horizon and I don’t think that anyone out there believes that there are miracles on the horizon either. I think there will be challenges as there were before the elections.”
He too stated that the party does not have to be ashamed of being voted out.
“It seems to me as if it is a trend in the territory where after each four years, government changes… it seems to me as if the people of the territory has no compunction when it comes to changing government; only time will tell what is going to happen in 2015,” Fraser said.
According to him, the party knows where its future lies and the sooner they come to the realization that it needs to rebuild the better off it will be.
“We have done the opposition stint before and having to do it again, it is not the most pleasant thing in the world, but it is not the worst either. I think it is a service to the people of the territory, whether you sit in the opposition or you sit in the government and I can tell you that sitting in the government was not an easy road, it was very very difficult for us, as a Minister of Government, we have done our best, we have done the best we could possibly have done,” he said.

Fraser don’t bother with the noise, you are one of few strong politicians that we have who can actually tackle tough issues. I do appreciate all that you have done for this territory and we wish you continued blessings. It is because of you, the public is now more knowledgeable of the attack on the government’s purse by a selected few, and for that, they will never like you. Many thanks Mr. Fraser!

99% of the lackies Fraser have behind him have no real job, they depend on Government purse for a living and they don’t care how wrong things are, they still take the money. Carvin Malone and co. do you even want me to list the ways Government had to bail him out over and over and over? Tell me one accomplishment by him without Government involvement.
The problem with Fraser is just JEALOUSY!! One set of people making money is okay, but another set it’s bad. he has brainwashed the masses with that nonsense but we had the last laugh! People stood in the hot sun in the long lines at voting day, not to vote for or against a party or for their country, but to vote based on envy and jealousy because certain people may stand to make money if NDP got in! PURE IGNORANCE!!!!!
People would tell you straight up “YEs, I know Fraser is bad for the country, but at least he making sure Investment Club don’t makee too much money!!” Now let that digest and tell me how the hell that can make sense/?? SCHUPS!!

No Sir, you have not! You have allowed other Ministers including Andrew and Omar to do their own Works projects…projects that should have been done under the Ministry of Communications and Works. And we have seen the unsatisfactory results and appalling overspends.
You yourself have distributed lands in District 3…this should have been done by Omar as Natural Resources Minister.
You undermined Dancia,the deputy premier, so there was no visible development in her district. And she as deputy premier was so weak, she allowed you to do it!
I think the voters should see to it that no party that you are a part of, should ever be elected to power in this territory again.

Gone are the days we voted on morals and good governance; it seems to be the norm now that we vote based on the personal attention we’ve received from our elected officials, (Fix my road, build me a retaining wall, get me a scholarship); those of you who have done so and continue to do so clearly do not have the best interest of the BVI or its inhabitants or the future of this territory in mind; YOU ARE SELFISH AND AUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF YOUR ACTIONS AND YOURSELVES!
This election was stolen from the youth of this territory and as a youth of this territory I am ashamed of my peers, ashamed that you let yourselves be blindsided by the promises that we were guaranteed; OPEN YOUR EYES AND SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE!

Internet is SLOW and EXPENSIVE! The most expensive anywhere in the ENTIRE REGION!!! Landline is still a monopoly and EXPENSIVE!! Cable is shit, cell phone signals still drop, Lime & Digicel allowed to do as they please. TRC is a big waste of monies. Water is always off, electricity is unreliable but very expensive, sewerage still not addressed.
What nonsense you telling me? All these problems we have and his priority was filling in sea cows bay to build his wet-dream marina with OUR MONEY? I beg you go sit down! You know what Fraser has done for you!!! You deal with him personally! But don’t come here acting as this country owe him anything, we owe him NOTHING! HE was a Minister of the entire country and focused only on not even the entire district, but Sea Cows Bay only!!!!! Let him sit in the opposition and I hope he is investigated for all the nonsense that he has been involved with!

Look at what has been running our country for the last four years. No wonder we are in this mess. No class, no appreciation, no dignity. If being in the opposition is so hard you should have done the right thing & let the people get rid of you instead of buying your way back in with private roads and walls out of our tax dollars. At least say thank you to sea cows bay and wish your replacement well. Those of use not in sea cows bay and I’m sure even some of your constituents look forward to the investigation into what you did with our money and your incarceration for misappropriation of public funds and theft. Hon Mark Vanterpool can’t run his own supermarket its Min of C&W he could run. Best thing huh let’s wait and see!!!

.Keith Flax could not run his simple and tiny jewelrey store yet you voted him to style off on us “lesser beings” (well we figured him out too and retired him)
.Dancia Penn still afraid to go back to her practice but seems to like to include the unearned “QC” as part of her name (well she gone for good too)
.Vernon Malone, have you ever heard of him winning a case as lawyer? He also failed miserably as commissioner (also gone)
.Elvis Harrigan who always tells us what a good accountant he is, well ask him to show you his credentials and let you know of any accounting job he has completed with the skill of the accountant he claims to be (well he gone with the rest)
