FEBRUARY 22—Registration closes at 5 p.m. today for the Gatorade Development Series Relays scheduled for 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at the A. O. Shirley Recreation Grounds.
Activities kicks off with the Open Long Jump followed by the 100m Hurdles—the first running event—at 4:15 p.m. That will be followed by the Under 11-Open 4x100m Relay; 4x50m Under 9 only; Under 11-Open 4x400m Relay; Under 13 High Jump; Sprint Medley Relay (A)—50, 50, 100 and 200m—for under 9 only. The program concludes with the (B) Sprint Medley, targeting Under 11-Open with legs of 200, 200, 400 and 800m.
There is a $1.00 registration fee for all athletes competing and the fee is to be paid by 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Competitors for all track (running) events must be declared as competing by 3:00 p.m. All registered persons not competing are to be scratched by 3:00 a.m. The declaration or scratches can be made by the athlete or a designated person including the club manager or coach.
Athletes will prep for the March 10 Carifta Games Trials and Jr. National Championships by returning to individual tune up events on March 3.
